Hit: Slightly open stance with a wide base, upright with his hands at his shoulder. Compact swing with average bat speed; repeats swing well; does a solid job of making contact; commands the strike zone well; good plate coverage. Grade: 45

Power: Does possess fringe-average to average raw power due to frame and natural strength, however his swing is geared for contact, he does not engage his lower half effectively, leading to little in-game power, on occasion will show some ability to drive the ball into the gaps. Grade: 40

Field: Has the potential to stick at shortstop due to average athleticism and quality instincts. Does not have a quick first step but instincts help make up for slight lack of suddenness. Range is average to slightly above-average. Has the potential to be a serviceable middle infielder who could also play third. Grade: 45

Arm: Strong, loose arm; average carry and accuracy; enough arm to handle short. Grade: 50

Run: Average runner, slightly better underway. Grade: 50

Overall: Murray lacks a standout tool but has enough polish and feel that he should move through the lower minors quickly. He shows the ability to make consistent contact and control the strike-zone, his glove and arm are enough to project him to stay at short defensively. His lack of in-game power is holding his profile back.

Physical Description: Above-average height with a good body that is noticeably trimmer in the midsection than in past seasons. Strong throughout.

Hit: Has toyed with several iterations of his stance since signing. Presently stands crouched with his hands back. Significant amount of pre-pitch bat and hand movement, something he's had since signing. Utilizes a small leg kick as he loads and steps into the pitch. Swing can get long. It's above-average bat speed with an upward swing plane that gets the ball in the air often. Has consistently produced more fly outs than ground outs since signing. Shows some bat-to-ball skills and he has a good eye, but he strikes out too often, which has followed him from rookie ball to the big leagues. Strikeouts will be a part of his game, but so will walks. There's potential for average or better on-base ability, but it's going to require him to get to cut down on the strikeouts, something he's been unable to do since signing. Grade: 40

Power: Plus raw power that started showing up with more frequency in 2019 after an adjustment that got him lower in his stance and creating better leverage. He has the bat speed and swing plane to get the ball out of the park with regularity, but the swing and miss hinders the ultimate output. He can also get pull-happy. Grade: 50

Field: Has quick reactions in the field but he covers an average amount of ground at 3B. Moves well enough laterally to suggest he can stick. He's unafraid to charge the ball and shows a good backhand, but mostly just makes the routine plays. Grade: 50

Arm: Strong arm with good carry across the infield. Throws from a low 3/4 slot. Quick transfers. Arm plays at 3B. Pitched as an amateur. Grade: 55

Run: Timed at and around 4.38 down the line from the right side. Hustles out of the box. Not a threat to steal. Grade: 40

Overall: Padlo shows some very real power and a good eye, but he simply struggles with strikeouts. That alone will hinder his chances at starting long term, but he does enough things to stick, likely in a multi positional backup role. He's an average fielder at 3B, something that has been aided by the improvement of his body, and he's also taken reps at 1B and 2B in the minors. He's on the 40-man roster and debuted in 2021.

Physical Description: Short and compact frame with a good amount of size to his build. Sound upper and lower half with room for more.

Hit: Sets up short and crouched from both sides; knees and elbows bent with arms locked in place. Minimal pre-load movement; subtle leg kick and toe tap for timing and rhythm. Aggressive approach, not afraid to swing heavy first pitch. Solid bat speed and contact from both sides; looks a bit more comfortable from the left with righties pitching him more inside. Flatter bat path, but simple swing and smooth motions. Strikeouts and power-heavy approach has held him back from getting on base more consistently. Raw tools evident, needs more polish at the plate. Grade: 50

Power: Enticing raw pop has yet to translate to games. Shows a good feel for a barrel, but flatter bat path limits power potential. Good strength to lift the ball at times, creates solid leverage. More gap-to-gap power present, sprays mistakes from either side. Shows potential, but power leaves more to be desired. Grade: 45

Field: Added size and weight has pushed him to more starts at third base. Doesn't move well enough to stick at short long term. Still looks like a natural fit for second base. Makes up average ground on the dirt with quick motions. Good awareness. Plenty of defensive versatility as a temporary fill-in at three infield spots. Grade: 50

Arm: Throws come out accurate with good zip and carry from all three spots. A bit of effort in release, but throws meet the target in time. Has the arm to make plays deep in the hole on occasion. Above-average arm strength and accuracy. Grade: 55

Run: Above-average athleticism in all facets. Quick feet out of the box with good acceleration. Covers good ground with his speed defensively. Overly aggressive base runner, lacks the top-end speed to swipe bags in any count or situation. May lose a step if he continues to add more size; it remains a vital part of his game. Grade: 55

Overall: Martinez has intriguing tools, but has yet to tap into them on a consistent basis. His raw power hasn't translated to this point, though he shows an average feel for the barrel. He offers some defensive versatility, but isn't great at one particular position. His speed is still a big facet of his game, but if he continues his hitting struggles, it may not matter much.

Physical Description: Long, lean, strong build on a big frame. Classic projection frame with long limbs, broader shoulders and high waist. Room for 15-20 pounds of good weight. Wide hips and torso portend that the weight will come.

Hit: Hands at shoulders with arms half extended; Torso mostly upright, slight knee bend with very open base just wider than shoulders. Noisy load with long leg kick to coil hips from open stance as hands shift up and back. Moving parts cover a lot of distance. Steeper swing plane with the bat head staying below the hands even on elevated pitches. Solid to above-average bat speed. Swing and miss is prevalent, especially on spin. Appears to struggle to recognize breaking balls and even offspeed at times. Has decent feel for the zone and doesn't expand excessively. Ultimately, long arms and swing with limited feel to hit limit the upside for contact. Grade: 40

Power: Plus raw power at present and gets to it in games; able to drive the ball out to the opposite field power alley. Solid bat speed and swing path built to lift the ball help unlock the in-game pop which should be a good mix of homeruns and extra base hits. Contact issues hold the game power down a notch. Grade: 50

Field: Solid reads and routes in center and somewhat rangey with long gait. Shows an ability to make the big play with diving catches. Should be able to play an average centerfield at the top level. If he outgrows center, it's likely an above-average LF and solid right due to average arm strength, though the bat is probably too light for a corner. Grade: 50

Arm: Average arm strength. Throws have solid carry and are generally on target. Typically in good position to throw. Grade: 50

Run: Above-average runner underway with long strides now, borderline plus, who'll likely slow down with added weight. Clocked above-average run time (4.16). Aggressive in the run game; wants to take the extra base and will force the issue; comfortable with big leads and gets solid jumps on steal attempts. Has taken a step forward in that regard. Grade: 55

Overall: Big, athletic center fielder with plus power and above-average speed. Hit tool concerns limit his overall upside. The body and hit tool will ultimately drive the profile. There's enough talent and athleticism to be a star if he ever got to an average hit. But if he doesn't hit and he outgrows center, the profile is closer to an up and down guy. Most likely outcome is a role player off the bench who contributes on the bases and in the field.

Physical Description: Average height for the position with a good frame that has filled out some since signing. Lacks present strength, but has some room to add upper body strength. Twitchy athlete.

Hit: Stands open and crouched in the box with his elbows low, his hands at his chest, and the bat on his shoulder. Brings his hands back and elevates the bat as the pitcher begins his windup. Utilizes a huge leg kick as he loads; cocks his knee at his midsection, his left foot rising above his back knee before he steps into the pitch. Has quick wrists, but there's some noise in his hands. Takes big swings, and he has an aggressive approach, but he also has an innate ability to put the bat on the ball. At its best, it's above-average bat speed and a linear bat path, but he does show a tendency to dive at the ball, too often resulting in weak contact. Shows a discernible eye, but does not take walks because of his aggressive approach. There's above-average potential here given his natural bat-to-ball skills, but he'll need to grow stronger and perhaps tone down the swing. The speed helps the tool play up. Grade: 50

Power: Below-average raw power that plays well-below during games. He has a quick bat and takes big cuts, but he lacks the present strength to impact the ball when he makes hard contact. When he gets the ball in the air, it often dies in the middle of the outfield. There's some physical projection in his body, and he's shown an ability to elevate the ball, but Basabe will never be a power hitter. Grade: 30

Field: Twitchy athlete in the field. Quick reactions. Moves well laterally. Unrefined but shows good actions at the keystone. No looks of him at SS. Has taken reps at 2B, SS, and 3B in the minors. Grade: 45

Arm: Strong, quick arm. Ball shows good carry. Accurate in limited looks of him playing 2B. Throws from a high 3/4 when he's reaching back for something more. Grade: 55

Run: Timed between 4.11 and 4.13 down the line from the right side. Those are near plus-plus times; he's quick out of the box and has better-than-plus straight-line speed. Added strength may slow him a touch. Grade: 60

Overall: Basabe is athletic and has an uncommon ability to get the bat on the ball. He's a high effort player - a sort of firecracker on the diamond - and shows enough tools to suggest he has a major league future. He lacks the power that is generally desired, but he's fast, has bat-to-ball skills, and is familiar with a bevy of infield positions, and in that sense he's somewhat of a quintessential Rays prospect. His swing needs to be toned down, but he's shown enough in his limited minor league action to project in a utility role with potential for something more. He's in the right organization to develop, but he's notably down the depth chart due to the strength of the system.

Physical Description: Tall ideal pitchers frame, with well filled out frame. No physical projection left.

Mechanics: Slight lift to his front knee, brings ball-hand down towards his butt, then drops his hips and drives towards the mound and releases from a lower 3/4<92>s armslot. He swings his back leg around so he's square to home plate. When runners are on base he goes straight into the drop, to cut down on time.

Fastball: 90-92 will touch 93 at times. He has good command of his fastball, moving it around the zone. He avoids the middle of the zone and looks more comfortable when he is pounding hitters on the inside with a fastball and then going to the outside with it on the next pitch. The fastball plays better than it<92>s velocity and generates swings and misses as well as weak contact. Fastball is more sinkery in it's movements as opposed to the modern four-seamer with "rise." Grade: 45

Cutter: 86-88 he mainly uses the cutter after utilizing both the slider and fastball as a way to catch batters off balance. Shows solid horizontal movement, likes to have it come in on the hands of right-handed batters and likes to use it to front-door left-handed batters. Plays up because of the way in which he sequences it. Grade: 40

Slider: 81-83 with the slider. It is your traditional sweepy slider that gets good horizontal movement. He likes to have it start in the zone and break towards a right-handed batter as a way to effectively avoid the barrel. Likes to also locate on the outer part of the strike-zone so it breaks away from left-handed as to induce swings and misses. He effectively uses it to induce swings and misses. Grade: 50

Changeup: 82-84. He lacks feel for the changeup and seldom uses it. Used mostly as an offering that he shows after he’s seen the lineup once and they have seen the fastball-cutter-slider trio. Grade: 40

Control and Command: He fills the zone with strikes at a plus rate. He rarely walks batters, and shows above average command of all of his offerings outside of the changeup. Control: 60 | Command: 55

Overall: Doxakis is currently in the right org to get the most out of him. None of his stuff will blow you away, but he moves all his stuff around the zone and puts them in spots where they can play best. Ultimately he probably ends up in a pen where he can be a low-leverage relief or long relief type.

Physical Description: Average height for the position. Well-built without projection.

Mechanics: Stands upright on the mound. Pitches from the windup, but will streamline it with guys on base. High 3/4 delivery that is short to the plate. Clean and repeatable. Will fall off toward 1B and misses his spots when he does so.

Fastball: 89-92, T93. Fastball-dominant repertoire. Velocity has wavered since entering prep ball. He's been up to 95 in the past. Pitch has some tail.. Moves the ball all around the zone, but he likes to elevate it. Heavy pitch that generates weak contact when he's locating it. Capable of generating swings and misses, and the pitch plays slightly up despite it's mostly average velocity. Grade: 55

Curveball: 78-80. 12/6 action. Big breaker with above-average vertical movement. Looper. Inconsistently locates it. Best used down and becomes too hittable when it stays up. Use of the pitch depends on his feel that day; there are starts where he relies on it and starts where it's infrequently used. Pitch has plus potential if he locates it better. Grade: 55

Slider: 86-88. Infrequently used pitch that has average horizontal break. Plays like a cutter. Generates swings and misses when playing it off his FB because he tunnels it well. Runs it out and away from righties. Grade: 45

Changeup: 83-84. As with his slider, he tunnels his changeup, and it's best used off his FB. Shows some arm-side run and an average amount of fade. Likes to run it away from lefties, and he tries to keep it down to righties. Generates weak contact when he's spotting it. Grade: 45

Control and Command: Control is naturally ahead of his command. Most around the zone. Shows a tendency to miss high with all of his pitches. Curveball is difficult to locate with his vertical movement. Control: 45 | Command: 40

Overall: Myers has a starter's arsenal, but the stuff is mostly average across the board. He has a big, bending curveball that plays as his best pitch, and it's near-plus when he's locating it. His velocity has been up-and-down for several years. If he can consistently get into the mid-90s, and locate while doing so, he has the look of a backend type. Without that, he's probably a reliever, albeit one that can get swings and misses with several different pitches at the major league level.

Physical Description: Above-average height and skinny throughout. Lacks upper body strength, and has plenty of room to bulk up, but he's had pretty much the same body since high school, and this may just be who he is. He's a good athlete.

Hit: Stands crouched and open with his knees bent at the back of the box. Hands stay below his shoulders, where the bat rests until he loads. His weight moves backwards before stepping into the pitch. Takes a small-to-moderate leg lift as he loads and closes his stance, at which point he evenly distributes his weight. There's some noise in his hands, but he's pretty short to the ball on a level plane. It's a repeatable, contact oriented swing, with average bat speed, and he shows some good bat-to-ball skills and can get the ball in play with regularity. Shows an ability to use the whole field, but most of his hits are still to the pull-side. He has an average eye and can take a walk, but I've also watched him be a little too passive at the plate. Offspeed stuff can give him fits and he still needs some work on his pitch recognition, but he moves the bat up and down the zone well, and has shown an ability to make adjustments mid-swing to put the bat on the ball. He has above-average barrel control, and I think he's capable of hitting .270-.280, but it's probably an empty batting average when all is said and done. Grade: 55

Power: Below-to-fringe-average raw power to the pull-side that plays as well below-average during games. His level swing gets the ball in the air consistently, and he'll get one out on occasion, but his approach is not designed to necessarily drive the ball. I've watched him flare a lot of balls into the shallow parts of the outfield, and I think that's probably what his future holds. He lacks strength, and the little data I have available to me regarding exit velocities indicate he's below-average. Grade: 30

Field: Moves well laterally, but it's mostly average range for shortstop. He covers 2B well and can turn difficult double-plays because of his high IQ and defensive positioning. He has clean actions, including good hands and footwork, and he looks likely to stick at the position. Grade: 55

Arm: Strong arm that fits on the left side of the infield. It's above-average arm strength with plenty of carry. Often throws from a low sidearm slot when going across the diamond. Will bring his arm up to 3/4 slot when he's reaching back for something more. Accurate in limited looks. Grade: 55

Run: Timed 4.06 down the line from the right side. He's a plus straight line runner, but has yet to demonstrate himself as a stolen base threat. Grade: 60

Overall: Williams is a sound defensive shortstop with a potentially above-average hit tool. That suggests he has a major league future. However, he has yet to indicate he can add strength, and that's brought his usable power down near the bottom of the scale, which is concerning in an age where shortstops are homerun threats. Williams will never be that type of player, but there's still value in the profile, even if he's likely looking at a bench/utility role.

Physical Description: Tall, physical frame. Strong build in upper body but plenty of strength throughout. Moderately long limbed. Solid corner outfielder's build. At physical peak most likely. Had a back issue in college that sapped some power and athleticism. Average athleticism. Lacks explosiveness.

Hit: Slightly open stance with bent knees and straight torso. Holds hands away from hands above knee. Uses a big, stiff leg kick without a long stride. Vertical barrel and quick hands works barrel around quickly into the hitting zone. Above average bat speed. Generates strong exit velocities. Aggressive approach and takes hard cuts. Susceptible to velocity on inner half and breaking balls down and away. Bat path tends to be middle of the zone. Grade: 40

Power: Has the bat speed, ability to generate loft and strength for above average raw power. Swing and miss will get in the way of getting to all his power in games. Grade: 55

Field: Speed gives him enough range to cover ground in the corners to be average in both spots. Route running is inconsistent and needs work. Speed and an average first step allow him to moonlight in center. Better fit in a corner. Grade: 45

Arm: More than enough carry on throws from right field. Gets behind throws. Will occasionally sail high on him and overthrows. Plus raw arm strength. Grade: 55

Run: 4.35-4.40 home-to first time. Takes long strides. Average underway. Not explosive out of the box. Average first step on steals. Not likely to be a threat on the bases long term. Grade: 45

Overall: Cardenas is a bat first corner who looks to get the ball in the air. He takes hard cuts when he sees a pitch he thinks he can drive. Before Cleveland traded him to Tampa Bay, he posted some of the best exit velocities on Cleveland's then Low-A squad. His quick hands, strength and bat speed give him above average raw power. Has some swing and miss issues, especially against fastballs inside and breaking balls away. Power and a good arm give him a chance to profile in a corner as a platoon bat against left handers and he can spell someone in centerfield in a pinch, but his arm is his best defensive asset.

Physical Description: Not a physically imposing frame. Listed at 6'2" but actually looks shorter than that. He does have some room to add mass. I've watched Mead play winter ball in his native Australia and he's been dominant in that arena. He's been playing in the highest professional league there for years before the Phillies signed him. They flipped him to Tampa for left-handed reliever Christopher Sanchez.

Hit: Stands upright with hands held high above his head with active hands. Uses a unique trigger, picks up the front foot and sort of just hangs it there before his stride. Similar set up to what Luke Voit of the Yankees does. Mead has gone from a pull-heavy hitter in 2019 with the GCL Phillies to an all fields hitter with the Rays. He makes contact at around an 85% clip as well. I do have some concerns with how his swing might play against elite velocity though. Grade: 55

Power: Mead has impressive bat speed. It sticks out right away. He's hit some mammoth homers so far this year, and really generates easy loft with the natural launch. He very rarely makes soft contact. He could hit 25 homers if given an everyday opportunity. Grade: 50

Field: Mead has played all over the infield in his professional career to this point, but his best ift looks to be third base right now, or maybe even second base. From a strictly fielding perspective he will make the routine play, just don't look for more than that. Decent first step, just his problems really come when asked to make a throw. His hands are good enough for second or third base though. He probably ends up as a bit of an offensive oriented utility man that can play anywhere on the corners and at second. Grade: 45

Arm: It's an ugly scene watching Mead throw a baseball. Almost like he's throwing a ball that weighs more than an original baseball if that makes sense. Zero velocity on throws across the diamond, and some of the plays in the at second base or even behind the bag won't result in outs because he won't have the zip to get it there. If you move him to first the bat loses its luster. The Rays have some work to do here. Grade: 30

Run: He's a fine athlete, probably even an average runner right now but he won't be as he matures and adds mass. Grade: 40

Overall: Mead is right on that line for me of second-division regular or platoon type bat. I do have a nice big league comp for him though, as he reminds me a bit of Jedd Gyorko. He will hit fastballs and breaking balls over the plate a long way, and defensively will make the routine play, just don't ask for much more. He's too good of a hitter against both sides of the plate to just be a platoon bat. My fear is the Rays utilize him like they've done with Mike Brosseau or Kevin Padlo despite there being more with the bat here with Mead. The adjustment with moving his hands higher has really allowed him to get to the ball on time and at an optimized launching point.

Fastball: Mid-90s offering that continues to increase its velocity. Fastball sits 92-94 and has reached 95-96. Thrown with a good sink towards the bottom of the zone. Forces soft contact; though it lacks consistent swing and miss results. Thrown with fervor and solid command. Grade: 55

Curveball: Low-70s curveball that is tinkering on an above-average grade. Tightened rotation and spin gives it solid depth and 12-6 shape. Good break out of the zone. Still a bit loopy, eats up the plate. Solid offering with a chance to be even better down the road. Grade: 50

Slider: Low-to-mid 80s slider; sits 82-85 with wipeout movement. Horizontal break forces whiffs out of the zone. Thrown with more consistency, better command than his curveball to this point. Solid putout pitch in his repertoire. Hard break and movement gives it an edge as his most consistent off-speed pitch. Grade: 55

Changeup: Mid-80s changeup that shows potential. Sits 83-86 with good deception and drop off in velocity. Still lacks consistent shape and fade. Needs to develop a better feel for the pitch. Showing strides in its improvement, has a chance to be a decent fourth pitch. Grade: 45

Control and Command: Has the stuff to force whiffs, lacks solid command. Struggles to find a feel for the zone, leaves a lot over the plate. Doesn't particularly attack above the zone; stays at the knees and attacks the bottom two quadrants. Gives up a good amount of walks and hard contact. May need to smooth his mechanics to see improved command. Control: 45 | Command: 40

Overall: Bradley continues to grow into his body, and so does his velocity. His fastball is reaching the mid-90s while his slider and curveball aren't too far behind in its movement. There may be some reliever risk if Bradley doesn't hone in on his command, as his stuff does fade as he gets deeper in starts. He has the stuff, but learning how to pitch is a different animal at times.

Physical Description: Strong, physical body with much of his strength coming from his lower half. Power hips and core help generate explosion on the field. Rotational strength comes from hips and shoulders and lend well toward his power at the plate. Kinney's body doesn't figure to add athleticism as he gets stronger, instead his development will come by way of adding strength to his already imposing powerful frame.

Hit: Kinney has a well-leveraged swing that generates plenty of bat speed to all fields. He gets the most out of his swing when he's catching the ball out in front where his natural loft can do the most damage. He can get pull-happy at times, and he's generating the most base hits when he's protecting the plate and utilizing his inside-out swing against tough secondaries. Grade: 55

Power: Kinney's power is one of his biggest strengths. He's got enormous rotational raw power, some suggest plus, that he really taps into when going pull-side. Kinney can really torch a ball into the rightfield seats. When Kinney can extend on a ball and keeps his hands inside, the exit velocities produced are among the best you can find for a guy his size. Grade: 50

Field: Kinney is destined for second base where his fringy arm and lateral mobility best fit. He's not going to provide a ton of value on the diamond, instead leaning on his bat to carry the profile. In that way, he's a lot like Mike Moustakas. Grade: 45

Arm: It's a below average arm, maybe fringe average with time. Kinney turns a smooth double play, but he'll have trouble throwing out faster runners when he needs to strafe deep to his right. Grade: 40

Run: Kinney figures to add strength and weight as he gets older. He's already a fringy runner and doesn't possess the body that suggests he'll grow into more speed as he ages. Grade: 40

Overall: Kinney is a bat-first prospect whose value will almost certainly lean heavily on his stick as he moves through the ranks. He's not a liability on the dirt, though he won't provide excess value in those spots either. If everything breaks right for Kinney, his career could embody something like what Mike Moustakas has done in his career.

Power: While Williams has some natural bat speed, his attack angle doesn't lend well to producing power just yet. He's a gap hitter with some pullside juice. Given the strength, projection and levers, Williams could tap into fringe average power as a pro. Grade: 45

Field: Quick-twitch, bouncy actions on the dirt with fast hands and explosivity in his movements. Strong on the diamond in a number of areas. At times lacks fluidity, instead leaning on his natural triggers to get the job done. Should develop well with time into at least an average defender. Good shot of sticking at shortstop. Grade: 50

Arm: Has tons of natural arm talent. Can make any throw from any arm angle. Very good coming in on the ball and strafing to his left. Not quite as smooth going into the hole just yet. Arm strength will play from any spot on the diamond. Comfortably above average, likely plus. Grade: 55

Run: Above average runner now, though he'll likely settle in as an average runner with more weight and development. Long strides, aggression on the basepaths. Not light on his feet, but not lumbering. Squarely average. Grade: 55

Overall: Williams is a twitchy, fiery middle infielder with bounce in his step and tons of projection at the plate. Before being drafted, Williams began tapping into some pullside power and spraying the ball with more authority to all field. He's quick hands and a strong arm, including on the mound, though most believe his future is on the dirt.

Mechanics: Full windup; drop and drive delivery that he moves through quickly with high effort. Feels rushed at times, lots of moving parts that create some deception. The pace has ticked up quite a bit from his college days where he was more deliberate through the rock step and leg lift; the leg lift is more muted now, too. Plant leg starts pre-set; longer arm action that drops down the body and comes through at a 3/4s slot. Intense and aggressive on the mound with significant head-whack at times -- has a late-inning reliever feel. Repeats better after he settles in. Works from the very end of the 3B side of the rubber.

Fastball: 92-96, T97; some run and good carry -- carry feels especially good for the arm slot. Can overpower hitters with it in the zone, jumps out of the hand. Plays up even more after hitters have seen the change - they're almost always late and swing through it or pop it up. Grade: 55

Curveball: 72-74; 1-7 shape with good depth. Flashes good bite, but rolls far more often. Clear 4th offering, used much more sparingly. More of a show-me pitch to steal a strike than a weapon. Grade: 40

Slider: 83-86; Sweeper slider with 2-8 shape. Flashes late bite that really fools hitters. Locates off the plate gloveside often; will try to drop it into the top of the zone but gets punished when the hitter isn't fooled. Grade: 45

Changeup: 85-87; solid tumble with solid but inconsistent fade. Sells well with armspeed; typically locates down armside, but will leave it up once in a while. Tunnels well with the fastball and falls off the table. True swing and miss offering and probably his best pitch. Shown mostly to righties, but the depth and deception make it a legitimate out pitch against all hitters. Grade: 60

Control and Command: Solid strike thrower but has times where he loses the release and can't find the zone. Can nibble too much with 2 strikes - struggles to put lefties away when the slider isn't biting. Knows how to set pitches up but doesn't always hit his spots to be effective. Appears to be limiting the walks a bit better after having trouble early on in 2021. Control: 50 | Command: 45

Overall: Hard-throwing lefty with a solid 4-pitch arsenal. Plus changeup is the headliner with a fastball with good carry that's touched 97 this year. Has a slider and curve that he uses as well, but pitches are a full step behind the fastball and change. Seymour is a solid strike thrower with some decent pitchability that gives him a very real chance to start, however, the delivery has a lot of effort and significant head-whack; the Rays have used him in short 3-4 inning spurts so far during his first pro season. Seymour could realistically be a five-and-dive 4th or 5th starter, but the intensity of the mechanics make me lean toward a multi-inning reliever. He'll need to develop a better weapon to put lefties away to maximize his potential. High floor arm who seems like a lock to be a big leaguer.

Physical Description: Teenager with a large, physical build. Well defined arms, thick, strong quads and legs. Some room to add additional strength but quite muscular and built for his age. Re-classified in the draft and graduated high school early to be eligible for the 2020 draft. Shoulder surgery on labrum winter 2020.

Mechanics: Overhead windup with mid-section leg kick. Stays stacked and well balanced with his lateral move to the plate as his arms meet his leg. Uses strong lower half well and has good torso/shoulder separation. High 3/4 delivery. Clean and repeats it well despite some moving parts thanks to having some longer limbs. Drives the ball downhill well and has very natural good arm speed.

Fastball: 92-96 with good downhill plane. Powers it down in the bottom of the zone. Should work well as a north/south offering with his arm slot and extension. Inconsistent control to arm and glove side. Arm slot should allow for a positive amount of backspin on the fastball. Some natural arm side run. Average control presently. With any added velocity and improved command, good chance to be a plus offering. Grade: 55

Curveball: 78-82 with tight, 11-6 directional shape. Very late, tight break. Better command to glove side than arm side. Looks to get outside with his release at times when he misses arm side. Needs to refine command. Potential to be a plus offering with his arm slot and tight break and good shape and spin. Grade: 55

Changeup: 85-86 and turns it over solidly. Firm with less than ideal separation from the fastball presently. Appears to be a standard two-seam changeup grip. Has some vertical movement and a little arm side run. Shows feel for the pitch but lacks impactful movement presently. Could be an average third offering with more separation and refinement. Grade: 45

Control and Command: Shows feel to hit the top and bottom of the zone with both the fastball and curveball. Struggles with control to the corners; fastball glove side and curveball inside when his hand gets outside of his curveball. Repeatable, athletic delivery and feel for his fastball and curveball give him the potential for above average control in the future with refinement. Control: 50 | Command: 45

Overall: The shoulder surgery really throws a lot of things into doubt for Bitsko. Re-classifying was a good move for him in the first place due to his age for the 2021 class, but it might be even better for him with the surgery further cutting into his timeline. He has an impressive, physical build for a teenager, raw arm strength and speed, along with the potential for two above average pitches or better. His delivery is pretty athletic and repeatable. Shoulder injuries are almost riskier than elbow at this point, especially labrum. There's enough variance and risk in high school arms to begin with before a major surgery like this.

Mechanics: Full windup; slight drop and drive; athletic delivery with high leg kick but remains in control throughout; moderate effort from a 3/4s slot with medium arm action. Delivery is simple but Johnson struggles to repeat at times. Sets up on the first base side of the rubber. A little slower to the plate from the stretch with times above 1.5 consistently; opponents look to run on him.

Fastball: 93-96; T98. Moderate armside run which he likes to use to run the ball back over the plate gloveside for called strikes. Can beat hitters with it up in and above the zone; has some carry to it but can straighten out up there. Rarely locates armside unless it's above the zone, will need to work on this to keep righties from sitting on the fastball away. Grade: 55

Curveball: 74-77; shape ranges from 12-6 to 11-5. Inconsistent quality at present, flashing plus with tight spin and good depth while others hump out of the hand and roll. Typically locates down, but some get away and hang up in the zone. Grade: 50

Slider: 84-88; 10-4 shape; thrown hard with inconsistent bite; cutter-like movement at times. Flashes plus with tight break, good depth and some sweep. Tunnels pretty well with the fastball. Can manipulate the shape to get more depth. Locates heavily to the gloveside, typically landing at or below the waist with a few that get left up. Grade: 55

Changeup: 83-86; shows good fade with some tumble. Flashes above-average or better, but rarely. Often firm. Little feel for the pitch currently and often leaves it up armside. Often slows arm speed; looks like he's trying to place the ball. Featured almost exclusively to lefties; a clear fourth offering that he only seems to use when he has to. Grade: 45

Control and Command: Fringey strike thrower who finds the edges of the zone often when he's on, mixing in bouts of inability to find the zone at all, often missing up armside or low gloveside. Other misses tend to leak over the heart of the plate where he'll be punished by more advanced bats. Struggles to put guys away and will run up pitch counts trying to get guys to chase the fastball with 2 strikes. Has issues locating anything to the armside; he'll need to improve that to be able to work inside to righties and keep them from sitting on stuff outside and over the heart. Control: 40 | Command: 30

Overall: Converted shortstop who only recently began pitching full-time. Johnson has big stuff that lacks consistency with just okay command. There's more projection here than your typical college arm due to his limited pitching history; he's mostly beating hitters with loud stuff right now with little pitchability. The repertoire is deep enough for him to start, but he has major strides to make with the consistency of his pitch quality and command before that becomes a realistic outcome. Looks like a backend five and dive starter or a multi-inning guy from the bullpen.

Fastball: 91-93 t95 with tailing action; flashes riding life when thrown in the upper third. Shows advanced control; works all four quadrants to toy with hitters. Some velocity projection remains with added physical strength. Still some gap between what is and what could be, but added velocity with his command of the offering warrants an above-average grade long-term. Grade: 55

Slider: 78-83; manipulates the offering with slurvy action in the lower velocity band; more traditional slider bite 81-83. Fills the zone and also uses it for chase. Casts occasionally, floating it in arm side. Can improve with continued reps and pro instruction; making it a solid-average offering at the highest levels. Grade: 50

Changeup: Fringy offering 83-85; flashes above-average but currently sits below average. Shows fade arm side but more often lacks the drop necessary to miss bats; struggles to locate glove side. Maintains arm speed and fluidity. Likely develops as a usable offering long-term, not a swing-and-miss weapon. Grade: 45

Control and Command: Above-average control with average command. Consistently fills the zone, especially with the fastball. Stellar walk numbers in his brief pro career. Fastball command is at projection--improvements will come from continued development of the offspeed. Heavy fastball usage that may need to back off at the highest levels. Control: 55 | Command: 50

Overall: Between the pandemic and a mysterious injury, Rays fanatics are eagerly waiting on Goss to show his abilities beyond his 17 innings of rookie ball in 2019. This is one of the more intriguing arms in the system to me, with a ceiling of a mid-rotation starter within the realm of possibility. There is relief risk, depending on both his health as well as the development of his changeup. In a bullpen role, his fastball/slider combination would likely play up in both velocity and crispness and his runner's pace on the mound would keep hitters on their heels. Still, with strong control attributes, he'll get every chance to start and has more upside (and risk) than many of the other arms in the organization.

Mechanics: Fairly low effort delivery. Throws from 3/4 arm slot. Exaggerated lean of upper half shows the ball pretty early to left-handed hitters. A little bit of stiffness at release driven by fringe athleticism; doesn't really get over his front hip which could inhibit his ability to work glove-side.

Fastball: Was into the high-90's at UGA; has been 93-97 in minors this season. Plays below its plus velocity because of suboptimal shape. Fastball lacks life and opposing hitters can stay on top of it when he works up in the zone. Better used down for weak, groundball contact. Grade: 50

Slider: Breaking ball shape can be a little inconsistent but it's plus at its best. Can get bat-missing depth at high-80's velocity when he snaps off a good one but also gets a little slurvy when he leaves it up in the zone. Likely settles in an as above-average pitch as he develops a little more consistency with release point. Grade: 55

Changeup: High-80's changeup can be really deceptive. Mimics arm speed well and the changeup shape mirrors that of the fastball. Needs to locate the pitch more consistently down and to his arm-side but has the potential to neutralize left-handed hitters. Grade: 60

Control and Command: Solid strike-thrower. Better control than command; hits the strike zone but can be inconsistent with his locations within the zone. Fringy flexibility in the lower half can impede his ability to work with precision to glove-side. Control: 50 | Command: 45

Overall: Wilcox has the makings of a mid-rotation starter, based primarily on the quality of his secondary pitches. The fastball's not as effective as the radar gun indicates, so it'll be critical for him to develop consistency with and creatively sequence his offspeed stuff.

Fastball: Mid-90s offering with subtle ride towards the top of the zone. Sits 92-95; reaches 97-98. Good velocity and late movement; forces consistent whifs on either side of the plate. Doesn't reach back for velocity, fastball thrown with a natural feel and touch. Above-average pitch in his deep arsenal. Grade: 55

Cutter: Mid-to-high 80s cutter with good movement. Sits 84-86; reaches 88-89. Manipulates it well with his fastball due to its late spin and movement. Control and Command: Has a good makeup and feel for his three main pitches. Pounds all four corners of the zone. Dots low and away with his fastball and cutter. Overall: With a good feel for three solid pitches in a deep arsenal, McKay has what it takes to pitch at the highest level when healthy. He showed glimpses of two-way play with the Rays, but his future seems to be destined for the mound. McKay knows how to manipulate his pitches to force consistent whiffs, and his smooth mechanics are a big part of that. Injuries and command issues have held him back, especially his most recent left shoulder surgery. Time will tell if McKay returns to form as a hitter or pitcher, but he still has room for improvement at the big league level.

Physical Description: Medium build with long limbs; average strength throughout. Sloped shoulders, high waist, wide hips, strong midsection and thighs. Overall build reminds me of Anibal Sanchez in his Marlins days. Frame is at projection currently. Injury history includes Tommy John Surgery in 2018, a fractured throwing elbow in 2019, and right ulnar nerve surgery in 2020.

Mechanics: High 3/4 slot with moderate effort; full windup with modest pace. Stays fairly upright through motion; tall and fall mechanics give downhill plane with slight head whack upon release. Clawing arm action with plus arm speed, yielding moderate deception. Repeats delivery well. Shows comfort from the stretch and holds runners close.

Fastball: 92-94 t95 with riding life in the upper part of the zone; plays best when located in the upper third, compliments his change up well. Tends to get straight when spotted down. Shows average command with the offering with little projection remaining, although he may find himself in the upper part of the velocity band in a relief role. Grade: 50

Cutter: Shows slider characteristics at 86-88; sharp, sweeping breaker with bite used mostly against same-sided batters. Heavy horizontal movement but does have some depth when the pitch is at its best. Flashes plus but sits more above-average, used more as a put away pitch rather than the more conventional deployment to induce weak contact. Grade: 55

Changeup: 85-87 flashing steep fade into the bottom of the zone; feel wavers at times, casting into the upper part of the zone with floating movement. Maintains arm speed well and causes the fastball to play up when the pitch is working. Flashes plus but likely settles in at solid-average long-term with the ability to miss bats at the major league level. Grade: 50

Screwball: 81-83 with sharp, vertical break. Usage has become rare over time, flashes fade and generates swings and misses consistently in the lower part of the zone; also capable of freezing hitters for called strikes. An easy plus offering considering the rarity of the pitch, the command, and the movement profile, but the usage suggests it may not have an opportunity to make its full potential impact long-term. Grade: 55

Control and Command: Average control with fringe-average command. Shows the ability to fill the zone with each offering; swings and misses out of the zone help to mitigate some shortcomings with command, with misses mostly East-west. Not likely to improve over time; shows enough command to start but recent appearances have been in relief. Control: 50 | Command: 45

Overall: Honeywell doesn't dazzle with high-octane stuff, but his four viable offerings that compliment each other in each quadrant help to get him by and generate swings and misses and navigate an order multiple times through. Injuries, which have haunted Honeywell, add to his relief risk more so than stuff or command. This process may already be in the works, with the vast majority of his MiLB appearances coming in relief this season. His stuff and impact will always play best as a starter, but health may necessitate a bullpen role long-term.
