Physical Description: Bulky upper body with projection remaining in lower half. Broad shouldered already maxed out in the upper body. Will require maintenance as he ages.

Hit: Below average hit tool, struggled to recognize spin, gets caught chasing and expands the zone frequently. Will try and turn on a pitch and get caught on the front foot. Swing starts from a semi-wide base, square to pitcher, leg lift trigger, slight rock during load. Swing is very steep, with an uppercut path. Will backspin balls with authority to his pull-side on his best contact. Grade: 30

Power: Plus raw power, will drive balls all over the outfield and behind pull-middle. The biggest hurdle is Northcutt's ability to make contact. In game power will not show until he can consistently barrel balls. Grade: 55

Field: Below average third base defender, below average hands, limited mobility. Above average instincts and good reads off the bat cover other weaknesses. Grade: 40

Arm: Strong arm shows zip across the diamond, but would often rush throws and miss the intended target. Below average accuracy with above average strength. Grade: 50

Run: Station to station runner, poor run times. Grade: 30

Overall: Power first bat with below average hit and long term questions about his defensive home. Some possible improvements mechanically could improve his hit and allow him to tap into more of his plus raw. For now it's a profile slipping more toward system depth than up and down player.

Physical Description: Slightly below average height, broad shoulder boxy frame. No remaining projection, body will require maintenance long term. Below average athleticism.

Delivery & Mechanics: Pitches exclusively from the stretch, high chest glove raise followed by moderate leg kick into drop and drive delivery. Longer arm action, delivers from a high three quarters slot. Arm often off time, lagging behind, below average extension, falls often to the first base side. Effort throughout the delivery.

Fastball: Fastball will sit 92-95 mph bumping 96 mph, moves the pitch around the zone, controls it well on the outer half and can elevate the pitch for swinging strikes. Can work low in the zone but he lacks the release height or sink to make it work. Will lose his release due to his strenuous mechanics and miss his spots for stretches. Still improving command. Grade: 50

Curveball: Loopy 12-6 offering in the 78-81 mph range. More vertical drop than slider with less horizontal and deception. Will spike it at times to get chases. May not be a part of his arsenal long term. Grade: 30

Slider: Good velocity slider with above average horizontal movement and late vertical drop when he buries it. Sits 84-86 mph clocked as high as 88 mph. His best pitch as he shows the ability to manipulate shape and sharpness. Swing and miss offering. Grade: 55

Changeup: 83-86 mph range, not much run or life, poor pitch. Grade: 30

Control and Command: Due to the moving parts, lack of athleticism and stress on Politi's body throughout his motion he has trouble repeating his mechanics and release. Due to this he struggles to hit his spots and at times throw strikes. Control: 45 | Command: 40

Overall: Two average or better pitches with some projection in the fastball and slider. Lacking third pitch to start long term. Possesses enough of a one-two punch in his fastball and slider to fill and up and down relief role long term.

Physical Description: Listed at 6'1", 180. Maybe 5 years ago. Stout, soft body now with a protruding gut. Wide hips and thick thighs, but still looks top heavy. Big boy. Frame is mature and then some. Have to hope he stays in playing shape. Nothing live about his body these days.

Hit: Upright stance with a slight knee bend. Lead foot open by about a foot length. Hands sit navel-high with some wiggle. Whole body rocks just a tad waiting for the pitch. Steps in towards pitcher as he loads, slight coil, lets his foot hover just off the ground rather than using a pronounced leg kick. Slightly different each time, seems easy to get off track. Aggressive, takes hacks, sells out for damage. Grooved swing. Has good loft, any more and you might call it an uppercut though. Looks to pull anything middle and in. Will chase up and inside off the plate to do so. Trouble with spin. Plenty of swing and miss. Not going to work many walks. Grade: 30

Power: Lofted swing with intent to drive the ball in the air. Gets his body into the swing to help generate bat speed, but still average at best. Will crush fastballs and mistakes, but hit tool may not be good enough to get to anything more than average pull power in games. Grade: 45

Field: Catcher. Uses the one knee technique, stabs a bit when receiving. Doesn't present ball to umpire well or often, not likely to steal many strikes. Below-average receiver. Multiple passed balls in same outing, pitches should have been blocked. Appears to have outgrown ability to defend. Just not athletic enough to adjust with a knee down. Not MLB-caliber. Grade: 30

Arm: Looks strong, clocked a 1.94 pop time from the minors. Actions are slower now, which will drag pop time down a bit. Especially in his new stance. Grade: 55

Run: Plodding runner. Turns triples into doubles, etc. Bottom of the scale. 4.72 H-1 from when he was closer to 180lbs. Easy 5+ now. Grade: 20

Overall: Round, unathletic catcher with a strong arm and pull power, but that's it. Poor receiver with poor reflexes. Robo-umps will help him, but still not an MLB-caliber defender. Only reason he catches is because he can't play anywhere else. Will get beat on high fastballs and spin, unlikely to DH. Likely an emergency catcher, org depth type. Not someone you want behind the plate even once a week.

Curveball: Spins it well. Grade: 50

Changeup: Gets depth. Grade: 50

Control and Command: Good control per reports and backed up by low walk rates so far in pro career. Could change as we get more looks. Control: 50 | Command: 45

Overall: Soft tossing lefty without much projection. Good command and ability to spin the ball will help mask weak fastball velo, but likely needs to add a few ticks to have legit shot as MLB starter. Long relief also an option. Very limited looks.

Physical Description: Very athletic frame at 6'2", 187 pounds. Started Friday nights for Miami ahead of two 2020 draftees (Slade Cecconi and Chris McMahon). Has projection remaining to his frame. Had Tommy John prior to arriving at Miami, has transformed himself into a very competitive arm.

Delivery & Mechanics: Pitches from a three-quarters arm slot from first base side of the rubber. High leg kick, pitches downhill well. Very good at repeating his delivery. Good pitchability.

Fastball: Not an overpowering pitch. Velocity sat 89-92 MPH in college and topped out at 93 MPH with some late movement to the pitch. Likely will see velocity uptick with added strength, but likely to only be an average offering. Grade: 50

Curveball: Inconsistent pitch that lags behind his change-up. Gets loopy at times, but he can locate it for strikes. Refinement is needed. Grade: 40

Changeup: Easily his best secondary offering. Pairs well with the fastball and generates a solid amount of swings and misses. Circle change-up grip, thrown for strikes, and has good fade and sink to it. Has potential to be a plus offering, but is above average right now. Grade: 55

Control and Command: Throws a ton of strikes, only walked 22 hitters at Miami across two seasons. Pitches around the zone very well, controls the strike zone. Likely to be an above-average asset down the line. Control: 55 | Command: 50

Overall: Refinement of his curveball will be key to how he progresses. He's shown to be a very competitive pitcher at Miami and likely will replicate it with Boston. Chances to start will rely on development of third pitch.

Body is mature, no real room for added weight. Could benefit from a little body recomposition. Long arms, proportional legs. Baseball athletic.

Hit: Tall setup, hands by back ear, back elbow even with shoulder. Sits into back leg slightly, front leg extended, a little wider than shoulder-width. Very slight trigger; Front leg twitches, slight coil, hands travel back to bicep. Comes to the plate looking to do damage, selling out for power. Has average bat speed; Steep swing plane, little bit of a windmill, will allow him to lift the ball but leaves plenty of holes in the swing. Some swing and miss; Poor contact quality. Will work a walk, but nothing special about approach or zone control. Grade: 45

Power: Average bat speed and uppercut swing maximize his average raw power. Takes hacks, looking to drive the ball in the air, but doesn't square the ball up often. Average raw is there, he's just not going to get it. Doubles pop. Grade: 30

Field: Average actions and instincts. Range is limited but his hands are soft enough for the infield. Not going to turn any heads, but can stick at middle infield. Grade: 50

Arm: Easy arm strength; strong and fluid. Carries firm and on target from short. Little to no tail. Live and loose. Grade: 60

Run: Below-average runner. Doesn't cover as much ground as his 6'4 frame might lead you to expect. Slow movements, lacks quickness, explosiveness. Grade: 40

Overall: Tall, lanky infielder who lacks MLB bat skills. No carrying tool. Aggressive approach but doesn't really square up the ball and drive it; Gap power. Old school style who won't strike out or walk much, going to put the ball in play and see what happens. Empty batting average. Solid defender with strong arm but not very quick; Good enough to play the left side of the infield. Lack of offense keeps him from being a threat to start on a competitive team. Ceiling of defensive utility type, floor is AAA emergency depth. At 26, his time has come and gone.

Contact rate is low and approach is rather aggressive, which creates concern over progression of hit tool. Grade: 45

Power: Tapped more into his power after trade from Arizona to Boston. Swing change allowed Wilson to hit the ball in the air more, leading to 16 home runs in Boston's system in 2019. Swing has some natural loft. Worry about contact rate limits how power will play at the next level. More than likely to become a fringe-average to average tool. Grade: 45

Field: Good instincts and speed will allow Wilson to potentially stay in center field long term. Average defense in center field, shows some good range. Move to a corner outfield spot, particularly left field, is possible. Grade: 50

Physical Description: Physically mature, broad shouldered, maxed out lower half, more mass than muscle, upper body still projectable, 2019 version was significantly less athletic and pliable than 2018 Fall Instructional observation.

Hit: Feel to hit profile, starts from basic setup, square to pitcher feet shoulder width apart, hands raised shoulder height, bat rests on shoulder preload. Leg kick trigger followed by longer swing with steep angle, rotational upper body. Shortens up with two strikes, gets deep into counts due in larger part to pacificity than approach. Just average bat speed, struggled to catch-up to elevated velocity. Notably three years younger than average age of competition in 2019 Short Season. Grade: 45

Power: Raw power shows in batting practice took a few balls to the wall and over across a pair of BP sessions in July of 2019. Pull-middle power projection, but it has yet to translate in game. Needs to add physical strength and improve contact quality in order for the power to manifest. Based on body type and BP raw, it's a tick below average to average power projection. Grade: 45

Field: Strong defender with smooth infield actions. Great first step and good reads off the bat. Polished defensive player for his age, despite added bulk and lost foot speed he moved well laterally and covered plenty of real estate. Despite this he shouldn't be described as rangy due to size. Smooth glove and transfer, slick defender with flair. If Flores grows anymore he could move off shortstop. Grade: 55

Arm: Plus throwing arm across the diamond. Made difficult throws on the run coming in, deep in the hole on hot shots and turned the pivot on the double play with smooth poised throws. Arguably Flores' strongest tool. Grade: 60

Run: Once an average to above-average runner, Flores dropped below that line in 2019 following added mass. Run times were consistently below average with a few average times sprinkled in. Perhaps reverse projection in this regard, but a 40 runner at present. Grade: 40

Overall: A high riser coming off noteworthy performances in the Dominican Summer League and 2018 instructs, Flores failed to meet expectations in Lowell in 2019. What looked like a young player overmatched at the plate was anything but in the field. There's still a strong defensive profile but much depends on his body conditioning, developing feel to hit, and manifesting his raw power. Still a projectable profile despite struggles at the plate. Wide range of outcomes between fringe up and down type to average regular. Due to his glove and projection in the bat Flores could exceed this role projection and settle in as a utility infield type.

Physical Description: Sturdy and strong, particularly in the lower half. Probably 6'1"215 lbs. Nearly maxed out physically, there may be room for an additional 5-10 lbs of good weight up top. But that could mean the difference between sticking on the left side of the infield and a future at 1B/ corner OF.

Hit: He hits from an upright, closed stance. Hands are above the shoulders and the feet are shoulder width apart. Pretty quiet in the box, pre-pitch. The swing is medium in length and linear. Patient approach, has a pretty good feel for the strike zone for a young player. He gets caught in between a lot, has trouble getting around on even low-90's heat. And is often ahead on the breaking stuff. Needs to get quicker to the ball. 40/45 Grade: 40

Power: The ball comes off of his bat very well but he isn't set up to fully tap into it with his current flat swing. 45 game power, could play as much as 55 with a swing adjustment. Grade: 45

Field: Shows good hands and decent range will have to keep an eye on his conditioning.  Grade: 50

Arm: Above average arm strength and good accuracy, seems to make all of the throws pretty well. Grade: 50

Run: A below average runner, not a big part of his game. Grade: 40

Overall: Howlett is interesting, he looks great in BP. The hands are special, he really whips the bat head through the zone. Needs to get quicker to the ball and find some lift. But he gets caught in between a lot, needs to get quicker to the ball and find some lift. Assuming he does all of that, he's potentially a 2nd division regular or a short side of a platoon bat. Minus the adjustments he's likely an org guy.

Physical Description: Square body type, muscular, physically mature build, average height at 6 feet even, broad shouldered with present strength throughout frame. Slight projection remaining, but could be concerns about getting too bulky. Strong firearms and writes, muscular lower half, and some surprising twitch.

Hit: Split-heavy production early in his professional career, and the organization has limited his exposure to left-left matchups. Sets up slightly open from left side with a wide base, hands set by ear, deep into back-hip in setup, moderate leg lift trigger, slight rock back at load, hands drop, as he unleashes a longer uppercut swing, looks to elevate and extend on fastballs. Due to the length of his swing and the rock in his mechanics he struggles to barrel spin, leading to a fair amount of swing and miss. Does show the ability to keep his hands in against fastballs on the inner-half and will make loud barrel impacts on his best contact. Struggles heavily against left-handed pitching and will need to make adjustments to avoid a platoon role. Grade: 40

Power: Plus raw power to all fields, shows the ability to ambush fastballs and launch to his pull-side. Shows off all fields power in batting practice, good present strength, above average bat speed, and the ability to generate power from his lower half. One of the top power bats in the organization, will need to continue to refine his approach to get to all of his thump in game. Showed off his in game power during 2019 debut, with 21 extra base hits and a .224 isolated slugging. Needs to show ability to make contact versus left hand pitching to reach a full plus grade. Grade: 55

Field: Average to slightly below average outfield skills, has enough closing speed to make the plays he needs to make. Could lose some speed over time which could push him to left field only, but the sum of his parts are passable in right field at present. Grade: 45

Arm: Above average throwing arm from a corner. Hits his spots, slightly better than average arm strength but enough for it to work in a corner. Grade: 55

Run: Average runner, smart base runner, will take extra base and utilize average speed. Explodes out of the box with intent, hustle player on the bases. Stolen bases will never be a part of Decker's game but he's a better than station to station player at present. Based on body type might lose some burst and end up a tick below average runner at maturation. Grade: 50

Overall: Split issues weigh heavily on overall value. Likely a strong-side platoon power hitting corner outfielder in the Brandon Moss mold should he max out. Strong arm and average defensive skills give him some foundational value but he'll need to hit for the profile to work.

Physical Description: Built like an average middle infielder. Lean up top, thicker legs and butt. Looks athletic. Mostly filled out, not much room to add more weight. Live body that moves well. Good athlete with the quickness and reflexes to play up the middle.

Hit: Switch hitter. Left: Stands upright with hands at the eyes and bat pointed directly back over the shoulder. Moderate bend in the rear knee, front foot extended for a wider base and open half a step. Coils moderately with a waist-high leg kick and steps toward the pitcher to get to launch position. Physical Description: Lean frame at 6'2", 210 pounds with little, if any, projection remaining. Athletic body, strong lower half. Shoulders are broad, muscular arms. Former outfielder turned pitching prospect.

Delivery & Mechanics: Works from the stretch only. Throws across his body from the third base side of the rubber. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a lengthy arm motion and not-so-deceptive delivery. Struggles to stay in sync at times, but that is to be expected from someone who is only two years into pitching. Arm is a tad late at foot plant, as well.

Fastball: Fastball is lights out when Aybar is on. Reportedly has touched 100 MPH in the past, but primarily sits in the mid-to-high 90's with some run to it. Pitch is primarily located armside, has some trouble commanding pitch at times. Even when it's not on, the pitch is useful for getting outs. Velocity tends to taper off during longer outings. With further development of control/command and more movement, could be a plus-plus offering. Grade: 60

Slider: Main secondary offering with two-plane shape to it. Lack of consistency with pitch creates some concern. Slider/Cutter hybrid at times. Pitch sits in the mid-to-upper 80's, primarily 86-88 MPH. Could become an above-average offering with further development, but looks more like fringe-average offering presently. Grade: 45

Changeup: Not thrown very often. Sits in the mid-80's with some sink to it, but overall, not likely to be anything of worth in the future, if he keeps it in his repertoire. Grade: 40

Control and Command: Struggles to find the strike zone. Throughout his career, he has walked 55 batters across 85 innings of work. Development of control/command will be key. If he can learn to land the fastball glove side, could see a bump in grade, but both grade as below-average currently. Control: 40 | Command: 40

Overall: Has the makings of a solid fastball/slider combination out of the bullpen, but needs to develop consistency with control/command and slider. At worst, he's a low-leverage relief arm that could be used sparingly. At best, likely an average high leverage arm with a nasty fastball/slider combo. His development will be very intriguing to watch as he progresses through the Red Sox's system.

Delivery & Mechanics: Has a three quarters release that whips around after leg kick that comes waist-high and moderate coil. Coil and whip combo add some deception; looks like some crossfire action. Uses long legs to get down the mound for what looks like good extension, need data to confirm. Moderate effort. Multiple iterations over different looks, may have issues repeating.

Fastball: 92-94 with tail. Explodes on hitters. Power, deception, and life make it tough to square up. Grade: 60

Overall: Good sized lefty with plus velo will get a chance to prove he can't start before moving to the pen. Live arm, good body, 3 pitches gives him at least a shot to be a back end guy. There's a chance it works out if org help with control and command -- first look would be his crossfire mechanics. If not, feels like a surefire low-leverage relief floor, especially with 3 pitches in the 3-batter minimum age, with upside as an AA high-leverage guy.

Control and Command: Has worked on improving his control throughout his college career, especially in 2020. However, he struggles to find the strike zone, as showcased by his 69 walks across 73.2 innings in college. His athleticism will help his delivery become repeatable and will certainly help him throw more strikes. Control: 40 | Command: 40

Overall: Has good upside for a college pitcher that struggles to find the zone. If he can improve his fastball command and overall control, he could have a chance to remain a starter for a little bit longer. However, his future resides in the bullpen.

Overall: The Yankees top international signing in the 2020 class is Hans Montero, a shortstop out of the Dominican Republic. Montero isn't a physical specimen, and lacks the physical projection you'd typically associate with these teenage prospects but does come with a strong baseball acumen and good hands. He's an above-average runner with a strong arm, he fits best up the middle and on the dirt. Montero's offensive skills lag behind the defense right now but it's a line-to-line offensive profile with gap power.

Physical Description: Breaux is a muscle bound masher. Big forearms, strong back and shoulders. Was a former two-way player in college and has battled bouts of elbow soreness since getting drafted.

Hit: Starts with feet wider than shoulders, stance slightly closed. Holds hands in the middle of his body with gentle swaying to keep them loose. Modest leg kick and stride. As he lifts his front foot the hands cock and everything explodes towards the pitch. Stance opens up as he strides and he's able to keep hands inside the baseball. He's widened his feet and closed off since college. Hammers fastballs on the inner portion of the plate. He's one of the more aggressive hitters in professional baseball and has an ugly approach with more strikeouts and fewer walks than you would prefer. The swing has considerable length and a 27% K rate in short season A-ball is concerning. The optimistic side of me says a below average hit tool is the best future outcome here, but he's got some work to do to get there. Grade: 30

Power: Big power and exit velos are the name of the game for Breaux, and he's capable of swatting 25-30 homers as a full-time backstop if you ignore the other issues. He will need to improve his plate skills and contact rate to fully maximize his strength. Generates easy loft. Only 44% ground ball rate in last run. Plus power projection, maybe even a tick more than that for raw power but slim chance it optimizes due to a swing-heavy approach. Elbow injury likely takes away some thump here as well. Plus bat speed. Grade: 60

Field: Spent more time as a DH than a catcher due to arm injury. He's quite stiff and doesn't move well. Provides a sold target, but transfer and footwork issues drag down profile and put future behind the plate in question. Ultimately without a huge improvement behind the closed doors that were the 2020 offseason I think he's ticketed for first base/designted hitter and his approach issues can prevent that. Grade: 30

Arm: Has touched 100 on the mound, and would sit 95-98. Raw arm strength is plus but elbow injury and generally poor footwork takes away from throws. Spent more time as the DH rather than catcher due to arm injury. Needs reps. Weak 16% caught stealing rate to his career so far, plus arm held down by other defensive issues. Grade: 55

Run: Not quite bottom of the scale, but close. Giving him the benefit of the doubt as he moves decently while underway. Either way, not a tool to focus on with this profile. Grade: 30

Overall: I have my concerns about Breaux turning into a big league regular behind the plate, and his issues offensively will crush the profile and take him out at the knees before he's able to get off the ground. The power and arm strength are plus, but the supporting tools actively attack his strengths. He needs to develop some patience at the plate, and if he can do that while shortening his swing he can stick as a platoon option at first or designated hitter.

Fastball: 94-96; Good zip, works high in the zone with it. Straight, but likely some ride here given the arm slot and whiffs at the top of the zone. Around the zone, but lacks command of it and will leave it over the heart or miss in a noncompetitive spot. Grade: 55

Slider: 83-88; Gets both sweep and depth. Manipulates it like 2 different pitches. One is hard and tight like a cutter, the other comes in low 80s but gets much more depth. Falls off the table. Throws the tight version for strikes and buries the bender -- enough difference that you could call it a hard curve. Potential plus pitch. Possible that he tips it, batters don't chase like you would expect Grade: 55

Control and Command: Typical hard thrower who doesn't know where it's going. Misses in bunches and has a tendency to leave it down broadway. Not going to get away with it against MLB hitters. Control: 40 | Command: 30

Overall: Average size righty with big stuff, but has ticked down since draft day. Has little command and in concert with the reduced velo, wonder if something is off in mechanics or he has a nagging injury. Current iteration is a low-leverage reliever. If he gets back into the upper 90s with at least a semblance of command, could be a high-leverage arm.

Overall: A 12th round pick out of UC Irvine in 2019, Koss showed glimpses of potential in his first pro season with the Rockies. His calm approach and ability to make solid contact stand out. His range and athleticism bodes well for his defensive prowess, though his average speed and arm could translate to second or third base.
