Physical Description: Tall athletic build; lean but sturdy frame. Broad shoulders; average upper body and core; strong lower half. Injury history includes: Tommy John surgery May of 2019.

Delivery & Mechanics: Stretch only; tall and fall operation. Deceptive low 3/4, almost sidearm delivery with moderate effort. Slight pause, high leg kick, hand break and plus arm speed yield great deception. Repeats fairly well; foot strike flexed and stiff at times and arm slot occasionally wanders.

Fastball: Power sinker that sat 94-98 prior to a massive velo drop before shutdown and eventual TJ surgery in May of 2019. Pounds the FB low in the zone yielding copious amounts of ground balls and weak contact. Deception and inability to square or lift pad the overall value. Every reason to believe the velo returns and possibly increases as he settles back in from rehabilitation. Grade: 60

Slider: Sits 84-87 with tilt and impressive two-plane break. Shows the ability to throw for strikes and chase. Consistent release point; works it to both sides of the plate. Thrown with confidence; not afraid to double up. Has the late break and bite to project legitimate put-away potential. Flashes above-average; should reach projection with further pro instruction and continued reps. Grade: 55

Control and Command: Prototypical power reliever; lives in and around the strike zone with below-average command. Frequently gets ahead early; can nibble a bit too much when he's ahead searching for a strikeout. FB misses are predominately glove-side. Impressive groundball tendencies: above 60% since draft day. Difficult to lift, just one HR surrendered in 80 1/3 MiLB innings. Control: 50 | Command: 40

Overall: Power sinker, slider bullpen arm that could reach the big leagues as soon as this season. A recent Rule V selection, Pop has legitimate high-leverage upside; more realistically a solid low-leverage groundball machine that bridges the gap to the late innings.

Hit: Open stance. Hands high above head. Upright body with feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart. Active hand movement with slight hitch. Toe tap timing mechanism. Above-average bat speed on slight uppercut path with natural loft. Aggressive hitter. Ability to use the entire field. Will excessively use pull-side for spurts. Struggles with elevated velocity and susceptible to advanced spin. Lots of swing and miss. Will have poor at-bats time to time. Approach needs refined, but will draw walk occasionally. Possible fringe-average profile, but swing and miss make a below-average profile more likely. Grade: 40

Power: Double-plus raw power, game power plays more above-average. Can hit it out to all fields. Bat speed and natural loft allow him to drive ball with authority. Needs to let power play naturally, will overswing at times. Improving amount of contact will help him tap into power even more. Grade: 55

Field: Sound defender with athletic actions. Good reads with quick first step. Able to make routine play. Catches what he gets to. Shows some burst despite below-average speed. Covers enough ground in all directions. Shows ability to range backwards well. Playable at a corner. Grade: 50

Arm: Sound throwing mechanics with short arm swing. Good carry through bag with above-average accuracy. Quick, smooth transfer. Uses entire body well during throws. Can throw out runners. Arm fits RF profile well. Grade: 55

Run: Below-average speed. Gets out of the box decent, lacks second gear acceleration. Not a threat to steal a base. Good instincts. Speed is playable in corner outfield. Some burst, can cover decent ground in all directions. Grade: 40

Overall: Conine is an interesting bat that flashes some above-average tools. The outfielder profiles best for RF due to the above-average power and arm. Offensively, power is his carrying tool. He has shown the ability to drive the ball out to all parts of the field thanks to strength and loft in swing. There are majors concerns for his bat to ball skills. He struggled with velocity and spin, resulting in a lot of strikeouts. The contact issues limit his hit tool potential, but he will always be a power first bat. He can play a sound defense in right. Despite below-average speed, Conine can cover enough ground and catch the ball. He will make the routine play and can provide value with his arm. It has solid carry and is accurate allowing him to throw out runners. Overall, Conine has the potential to fit a prototypical RF profile but the hit tool is what will make or break him. He will need to trim the whiffs and show he can hit advanced pitching if he wants to have any success. He's likely a below-average, bench role player.

Physical Description: Compact catcher's frame with an athletic build. Muscular thighs and legs. Strong throughout. Physically maxed out.

Hit: Hits from an open stance in a crouch, hands up at his head, bat over the shoulder with a horizontal barrel. Very brief leg kick trigger. Works hands actively into hitting position. Short, direct swing path. Heavily upper body swing. Shows good plate discipline and control of the strike zone. Compact, upper body swing and the way the way he works his hands into hitting position gives him the ability to make late swing decisions. Good bat speed. Grade: 45

Power: Has good bat speed and strength to hit for power. Swing is geared more towards contact and line drives. Shows ability to pull the ball with authority but in limited looks, would need more loft in his swing to get to what could be average power. Grade: 50

Field: Looks like an average receiver in very limited looks but shows quickness in getting out of his crouch and quick to move to his right and left to block balls in the dirt. Active blocker with his chest rather than attempt to use the glove. Even as an average receiver, other traits give him an average grade behind the dish. Grade: 50

Arm: 1.97-2.03 pop times and above-average arm strength with good follow through and carry. Gets of out catching stance quickly. Inconsistent accuracy. Grade: 55

Run: 4.38-4.45 home-to first times. Doesn't move quickly. Runs like a catcher. Grade: 40

Overall: Fortes can make a lot of contact with the bat, has a strong arm and shows solid defensive actions behind the plate. There's feel for the barrel in his swing with his bat speed and has good raw strength, but his swing is really set for contact. There's a good floor for his skill set, an ability to control the strike zone as a hitter, make contact, put up a professional at bat and carries a strong arm behind the plate with some defensive tools to boot. There's raw power to unlock there to be more a little more, but this feels like a solid backup catcher profile as presently seen.

Physical Description: Tall, lean frame. Very well filled out, remaining lean but strong; long legs. Strong, broad shoulders. Taller for a catcher with long levers. Very athletic for a backstop with his physical size and strength.

Hit: Very slightly closed stance with even base and hands and bat up behind head. Horizontal barrel. Insider of front leg moves inward and strides slightly closed. Hands are quiet in load; occasionally shows good bat control. Slightly longer swing; creates above average bat speed. Closed stride and two-hand, short finish reminiscent of Gio Urshela of the Yankees. Long swing and tendency to chase breaking balls low and away lead to contact issues in addition to long levers. Has good command of the strike zone despite those issues chasing. Power over contact approach but ability is there to get to more contact. Grade: 30

Power: Shows natural raw strength in hands and swing throughout. Good bat speed and swings looking to do damage. Comfortable opposite field power and good pull side power that both show in game. Creates attack angles with his swing to get the ball in the air to all fields and shows ability to match plane. Able to control the barrel and puts it on the ball on mis-swings and when chasing occasionally. Grade: 55

Field: Generally quiet hands and quick to squeeze the ball. Lets the ball come to the glove. Will reach across body to catch pitches rather than move to block balls in the dirt to his right. Slow out of the crouch. Could grow into a fringe-average receiver. Grade: 45

Arm: 2.01-2.03 pop time. Good carry on throws. Accuracy needs work with some throws tailing off to the right due to footwork. Above average raw strength. Throwing arm is the carrying tool of his defense. Grade: 55

Run: 4.46-4.50 home-to-first. Runs like a 6'4 catcher. Slow out of the box and doesn't have long strides despite long legs. Speed won't be part of his value. Grade: 30

Overall: Bat first catcher with a power over hit profile. There are real swing and miss concerns due to swing length and tendency to chase. Does have a good enough approach at the plate where he'll be able to draw walks. Real questions about the hit tool and how much power he will get to in-game, but does have a real feel for the barrel and has true plus raw power to all fields. Adams has a strong arm behind the plate with the potential to grow into fringe-average skills behind the plate including receiving and blocking. A three-true outcome type hitter with a strong arm should profile enough to be a backup catcher or a below average starter.

Physical Description: Lean, high waisted frame. Not overly physical. Long limbs, with some room to add muscle. A Tommy John surgery survivor.

Mechanics: Garrett will work primarily out of the windup, using a slight rocker step into chest high leg kick. True over the top arm slot and works down the mound very well, despite having minimal extension. Very good body control with a great ability to repeat his delivery.

Fastball: 89-91; With the velocity where it currently is, Garrett lacks the ability to blow hitters away, but will utilize some late arm side run to miss barrels. Will command the pitch well at the bottom of the zone, but has been hit hard when he gets behind in counts. Grade: 40

Curveball: 78-81; Garrett's best pitch and the main reason he was a first round pick back in 2016. A legit power curveball that shows tremendous 12-6 shape and depth that is commanded extremely well. Will live at the bottom of the zone and below, and create a ton of empty swings because of it. Has the confidence to throw this pitch in any count. Grade: 55

Slider: 83-84; A bit of a change of pace or get-me-over pitch for Garrett that he will throw early in counts. Will take a slight gyro shape with minimal sweep. Grade: 40

Changeup: 82-85; Will throw this pitch decently hard with some great late fade, and could play up with some added velocity on the fastball. Garrett shows great feel and maintains arm speed well to mimic off the heater, and could potentially become more of a weapon over time. Grade: 50

Control and Command: Garrett does a really good job of commanding the curveball and changeup, and for the most part the fastball as well, but will leave pitches in the middle of the zone on occasion. Ultimately works too many long counts nibbling at the corners, but not considered wild by any means. Control: 50 | Command: 45

Overall: Garrett has been dealt a up and down hand since being drafted in 2016. First Tommy John in your first pro season, then a tremendous come back year in 2019 then to face the 2020 that everyone faced. Ultimately was able to make his big league debut in 2020, showing the type of pitcher we are likely to see long term. A crafty LHP who's likely to never blow you away but miss plenty of bats with a plus breaking balls and starters pitch mix. Likely never more than a 4 or 5 guy or depth in the rotation.

Overall: A former New York Mets international signing who made his way into the Marlins organization this offseason via the Jordan Yamamoto deal. Polanco has a stocky frame at 3B with some raw strength in his lower half. Compact LH swing that creates a bit of loft and shows ability to manipulate the barrel in the zone. Not a ton of raw power in the profile, but bat to ball skills are present. Shows a strong arm at the hot corner and good footwork as well. Could end up being a quality low risk acquisition for this Marlins organization.

Overall: Encarnacion isn't a flashy arm, but he has a legit shot at a big league future. The right-hander sits 89-92 with the heater but it's a high spin offering that gives hitters some trouble up in the zone. He has shown an ability to fill up the zone and also features a curveball and changeup. He has limited physical projection despite being 6'3" and 180 pounds, but if he can find a way to add a tick or two to the fastball he would have a better shot at sticking in the rotation. As of now he's straddling that line of prospect/emergency depth piece.

Overall: Burgos was originally signed by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2017 for $300,000, which was the max they were allowed to give out since they were over their bonus pool the previous season. He was traded to the Marlins in 2020 for OF Austin Dean. The Marlins have seen plenty of Burgos as the two teams share a spring training complex. Burgos tore up the DSL in 2019, hitting .382/.481/.725, and displays excellent bat-to-ball skills and a good eye at the plate. He's a subpar defender in the OF corners, and although I haven't personally seen him, some sources I've talked with see him as a future part-time player without the implementation of the DH. He should hit though, and I want to see how that power translates stateside after swatting nine homers in 36 DSL games. He ended 2019 with an underwhelming GCL stint, but I'm not holding that against him.

Overall: Lewis, now 18, was signed out of the Bahamas by the Marlins in 2019. He's a bit undersized, but the switch-hitter can fly, and he knows how to use his plus-plus wheels in game. He reminds me a bit of Delvin Perez, showing off good hands and actions but any offensive upside is limited due to a severe lack of power. Supposedly he's bulked up and added some pull-side power to the arsenal, but I want to see how that looks in competitive situations. Lewis is an elite athlete that is a lock to stick up the middle, but where will depend on his offensive production.

Overall: One of the better spring training stories, Bender absolutely put himself on the map with a dominant spring, and filthy two-pitch mix in his slider and sinker. Bender's sinker was sitting 96-98 this spring, and topped out at 99. He throws from a funky, lower arm slot which give hitters a difficult look. Bender was with the Royals and the Brewers farm systems before a stint in indy ball got him noticed by the Marlins and now he has a legit chance to carve out a bullpen role with the Marlins in 2021.

Overall: Yiddi Cappe is a familiar name on the international scene that has missed multiple years of game action to no real fault of his own. He was eligible to sign as part of the 2019 international class but wasn't declared eligible until most teams spent their pool money so he elected to wait until 2020, and then Covid pushed that to 2021 (still 2020 class though). It's not all bad for Cappe as he did get a bonus of around $3 million (either $2.8 or $3.5 according to sources). He has a long, lanky build whose tools standout more in showcase events than games to this point. He projects to average tools across the board, but the frame is very projectable and that can obviously change how his tools project as he fills out. Watching Cappe work in the infield is a treat, and I'd say his defense is his strongest present tool.

Overall: After being one of the youngest players drafted in the 2018 draft, Johnson has had nothing but setbacks to begin his pro career playing just 48 games since being drafted, but looks like a brand new player in 2021. Added physicality and a new, reworked swing has stood out in early looks this season. Swing is significantly shorter allowing his plus bat speed to impact the baseball and show his above average raw power. There is still some swing and miss to his game, but has refined his overall approach that should lead to better results. There are still some question marks to where Johnson will end up defensively, but it's very likely 3B or even a corner OF spot could be in his near future. Still just 20 years old, 2021 will be a major point in his development.

Overall: One of the many players who came out of the lost season looking different than we last saw him, Cody Poteet now reps a major league average fastball, at least per velo. The 26 year old averages 93.9 mph instead of the fringe-average offering from the past and it's done a good job of playing up in the zone with good arm-side run that masks its lack of rise. He rounds out his arsenal with two high-spin breakers in the slider and curveball, the former of which he uses almost exclusively with RHB. He then tackles LHB primarily with FB/CH. It's a straightforward windup that has some effort at release and he's done a good job with command despite the long arm action. He's shown flashes of being a backend rotation piece, which is a major success already for someone who was headed toward an org depth label.

Overall: Jose Salas signed with the Marlins for $2.8 million in 2019, and the Venezuelan infield prospect was considered one of the more exciting prospects in the class due to his plus power projection and his enticing 6'2" frame. There's room for considerable weight here and he could be a 25-30 homer bat at second base. If the frame expands like I think it should he will likely be limited to second base but that bat is what will carry the profile. He's an above-average athlete at present and his hands are good enough to keep him up the middle. He has some length to the swing and will strikeout, but that doesn't matter as much if he can tap into the power.

Physical Description: XL frame with long, long limbs and a high waist. Lean throughout with some muscle in the lower half, but very projectable. Tommy John Surgery in September 2019.

Mechanics: Windup; tall and fall delivery with moderate effort from a high 3/4s arm slot. Fast arm; medium-length arm action that drops behind the body; Average stride but above-average extension from long levers. Hides ball behind big frame; simple delivery that he repeats well.

Fastball: 88-93; some ride and run. Can work it to all four quadrants; able to spot up on the edges and will run it by hitters at the top of the zone. Plays up more once hitters have seen the curve. Will cut it, flattening it out. Grade: 50

Curveball: 71-79; Typically 1-7 shape. Good depth with a little sweep; good bite, hard break. Tunnels with the fastball and mirrors well. Can drop it in for strikes and buries it well for chases. Hitters swing through it frequently. Pretty consistent pitch, doesn't hang it often. Good whiffs and poor contact as hitters beat it into the ground frequently when they do make contact. Grade: 60

Slider: 82-86; sweeper with some depth. Shape varies, sometimes resembling more of a cutter than a slider at higher velocities. Distinctly different than curve. Appears to use it more against lefties, really runs away from them when it's good. Grade: 50

Changeup: 83-85; solid tumble with a little fade - shape resembles the fastball with more sink and less velo. Good velo separation and sells solidly with arm speed. Buries it below the zone and on the outside to righties. Some feel, but too firm at times, looking like a bad fastball. Grade: 45

Control and Command: On/off; In the zone a lot, solid strike thrower when he's on but erratic when he's off. Pitches will leak into the heart, but the stuff is good enough that he can get away with some. Able to spot fastball and curve on the edges of the zone and locates chase pitches competitively. Erratic at times, losing the release and missing armside by a lot. Coming back from TJS, this will be something to watch closely to see if his feel for command comes back. Control: 45 | Command: 40

Overall: Big, exciting lefty with a good fastball and banger curve that headline a four pitch arsenal. Fulton had Tommy John Surgery in September of 2019 but the stuff and projection is so good that he was still selected 40th overall in 2020. There's frontline upside here with the combination of his frame and stuff, but TJS makes his profile quite volatile since we haven't seen him throw since summer 2019.

Physical Description: Lean, wiry, and high waisted build. Sloping shoulders. Looks to be close to frame being maxed out.

Delivery & Mechanics: Over the top armslot. Pretty high effort delivery. The whole motion is quick, highlighted by a quick arm. Starts with shoulders square to the plate. Hands chest high. Quick rocking step as hips turn and hands go up to neck height. Chest high leg kick before extending out towards the plate. Slight bend in the back leg, but he stays tall during the extension. Finishes high with the leg and close off to the plate facing third base side. Some head whack present.

Fastball: 91-94 T97. Arm side run. The reports on this pitch were inconsistent through his college days. He would show up on the upper or lower end of the velocity echelon between one appearance and the next. Though usually on the lower. Between velo and movement, more consistency easily makes this an above average offering and potentially more. Grade: 55

Cutter: 86-88. Some horizontal movement. It's a decent offering that brings another weapon to the table, though might be the worst of his arsenal. Grade: 40

Curveball: 77-79. 11-5 movement. This has the potential to be his best pitch. Garners above average spin in videos shared on social media. This pitch is what he is known for. Spin rates and break make this another potentially plus offering. Grade: 60

Changeup: 84-86. Gets some nice armside fade. It's got the ingredients to be a good offering. Depending on use, it may be above average. Safe bets might put this as a fringe pitch, but it has all the makings of at least an average offering. Grade: 50

Control and Command: Consistency in velo has been his biggest detractor, but his command has not been immune to that. His walk numbers in college spoke to that. With his filthy arsenal, it worked well enough when the pitches were on, but more consistency in this tool would certainly help. Control: 45 | Command: 40

Overall: The stuff seems to play, but the consistency is likely what scared teams off on draft day. He's a hard throwing lefty with a big breaking ball that has a very good chance for at least an average changeup. More command and more consistency could have Eder as a guy jumping up the lists as out of nowhere as when a marlin jumps out of the water.

Physical Description: Average height with a good, strong build. Muscular upper body. Noticeably filled out since signing. Looks like a ball player. Hard worker in the weight room. Plays with flair. Strong baseball bloodlines.

Hit: Stands tall in the box with his hands high and the bat vertical. Utilizes a small toe tap towards his backfoot as his timing mechanism. Keeps his weight on his back foot and steps into the pitch with authority, resulting in a wide bast at impact. Has above-average bat speed and a linear bat path that generates natural loft. Ball jumps off the bat when he makes good contact. Has refined and streamlined his swing mechanics since debuting in 2019, cutting down on the noise originally created with his hands and shortening his swing. Has good bat-to-ball skills and gets the ball in play with regularity. Shows a feel for using the whole field. Has a good eye and knows when to lay off. Needs some reps with the new swing, but there's potential for an average or better hit tool. Grade: 40

Power: Has so far displayed fringe-average raw power that gets mostly to the gaps during games. Uses his hips well and has a rotational swing that creates natural loft off the bat. He's already shown an inclination to get the ball in the air against live pitching. Added strength has boosted his power ceiling, but he'll need to focus on driving the ball to get there. At the moment, he's more hit over power. Grade: 45

Field: Fluid athlete that moves well in the field. Shows good reactions and gets average or better reads off the bat. Takes average routes. Has above-average footspeed but mostly average range. Signed as a CF but likely ends up in a corner where there's some room for growth as he gets acquainted with the position. Grade: 50

Arm: Throws from a high 3/4 slot. Average arm strength with some carry from the outfield. Not a weapon, but playable in all three outfield positions. Grade: 50

Run: Timed 4.11 down the line from the left side during the 2019 season. Has added bulk since then and looks to have lost half a step. Grade: 55

Overall: Signed alongside his older brother Victor Victor Mesa for a significantly less signing bonus, Mesa Jr. now appears to be the better prospect of the two. His physical maturation is a step in the right direction and it boosts his ceiling a notch or two. He needs in-game reps more than anything, but there's potential here for average or better tools across the board. To paraphrase a source: "he's a dude."

Physical Description: High waisted, with long limbs in his upper and lower half. Some projection remaining on the frame, but room to add plenty of strength.

Delivery & Mechanics: Fitterer will work mostly from a semi windup that utilizes a slide step into a high close to body leg kick. Creates big extension quickly down the mound with a lower release point from a high arm slot.

Fastball: 90-92; Has been up to 96 in a past bullpen, but will live in the low 90s with late sinking action. Fitterers' low release allows his fastball to play very heavy at the bottom of the zone. Showed a good ability to command the pitch in his brief pro stint so far. Grade: 45

Curveball: 80-82; Holds quality velo and big depth with this above average pitch. Utilizes quality spin and feel while holding a tight 11-5 shape. Will use this creates predominantly as a swing and miss pitch. Grade: 55

Changeup: 80-82; Fitterer shows an advanced feel for a change, maintaining arm speed and showing late tumble action as it crosses the plate. It gives him a quality pitch that he can command very well. Grade: 50

Control and Command: Fitterer has shown the ability to command the trio of the fastball, curveball, and changeup very well in his first taste of pro ball. Will live at the bottom of the zone with ease, but will nibble at the corners too much sometimes. Control: 50 | Command: 45

Overall: Fitterer was one of the highest overslot selections in the 2019 Draft, taking over a million over to steal him away from his UCLA commitment. Armed with a strong three pitch mix with likely more in the tank going forward and projectable frame, Fitterer could have a rotation spot in A ball in 2021. This is likely the year we see what the Marlins have in the 20-year-old.

Physical Description: Broad shoulder, but skinny frame all around. There looks to still be room to add weight.

Hit: Slightly closed stance. Stands tall at the plate. Hands start up by his head. Small step to trigger the swing. Slight bat wrap sometimes, but quick hands. Shows ability to go with the pitch. Dead red hitter, will swing and miss on offspeed in the zone. Covers the zone well, but lacks consistent feel for barrel. Has an understanding of the strike zone and doesn't often chase bad pitches. Not afraid to work counts. His upper body motions are fairly stiff, but he's still able to generate some good bat speed. Will benefit from improvements in reading spin. Inconsistencies likely cap this grade as a fringe tool. Grade: 45

Power: Most of his power is to the pull side at this point. His pop plays better inside the park, but based on the sheer number of flyballs he hits he'll likely hit a handful of homers too. There is potentially more power to be had as the frame fills out more, but likely more of an extra bases threat. Which plays with his speed. Grade: 50

Field: Has the range to stick up the middle, largely due to his speed. He can cover a lot of ground. His reads and routes are solid. Grade: 50

Arm: Can make all the throws with enough accuracy to be considered a true centerfielder defensively. Grade: 45

Run: Long strides and legs cycle through quickly. Upper body is awkward through the running motion. Uses speed well on both sides of the ball, including a lack of fear to stretch out hits for an extra base. Grade: 70

Overall: Scott has competed at each level the Marlins have placed him at thanks to a wealth of natural ability. He's shown glimpses of just about everything, including pop at the plate. What's really going to decide the profile is getting more consistent with his contact. His speed will more than play, and if all works out could see him hitting atop a lineup. Without more consistency finding the barrel, and finding it against offspeed pitches, then that's not likely to happen. His skills are very raw, but they are all there for him to be a solid contributor at the highest level.

Physical Description: Average starter's frame with broad shoulders, high waist and long levers. Has filled out since being drafted; little projection remaining. Aggressive mentality on the mound; runs hot.

Delivery & Mechanics: Semi-windup; tall and fall delivery with high effort from 3/4s arm slot. Fast arm; average stride and extension. Medium-length arm action, drops behind body and hides the ball well. Simple delivery that he repeats well despite effort.

Fastball: 91-93, t95; good ride with a little run. Plays well at the top of the zone; able to finish at-bats with it. Great pairing with curveball, helps it play up. Can have trouble locating; leaves it up armside or yanks it; others sit middle-middle. Dominates righties but gives up hard contact to lefties when left in the zone. Induces more groundballs than you'd expect. Grade: 50

Curveball: 80-83; Power curve with major movement. true two-plane break with great depth and sweep; an absolute hammer. 11-5 shape with hard, late bite. Rarely ever squared up, lots of whiffs. Can struggle to locate in part due to the amount of movement the pitch gets, but even the poorly located pitches elicit whiffs on occasion. Plays very well off fastball, tunnels well. Legitimate weapon that will be even more effective if he can improve consistency and command. Command keeps grade from getting to a 7. Grade: 60

Changeup: 82-87; quite firm with little tumble or fade. No feel; hardly used. Project pitch that has already been emphasized as a focal point of his training. Grade: 40

Control and Command: Inconsistent and sometimes erratic, likely due to high-effort delivery; very on/off. Fringey strike thrower and sometimes just loses the release entirely and struggles to get it back. Ticked up on the cape and during short senior year showing that there's potential for average command down the road. Likely to struggle against lefties without third pitch or command improvement. Control: 40 | Command: 30

Overall: Right-handed data darling due to high spin-rates with a shot to start and a seemingly high floor as an MLB reliever. The fastball/curveball combo is excellent and good enough to fast track him to the majors as a reliever, should Miami decide to go that route, and gives him a shot at high-leverage work. The change and command will need significant work for him to stick as a starter, but Miami has shown an affinity for changeup development in the past.
