Hit: Square stance, feet shoulder width apart; hands at the letters; upright posture; medium base. Mild load with leg kick timing mechanism. Average bat speed; linear bat path. Passive, contact oriented approach; slap and dash type. Sprays the ball from pole to pole; power predominately pull side. Handles pitches up in the zone well; susceptible to above-average or better secondaries. On-base ability pads the grade a tick. Hit tool will ultimately determine big league role. Grade: 40
Power: Shows below-average raw in BP; plays well below-average in game due to hit tool deficiencies. All fields approach; power predominately pull side. Field: Plus defender. Situationally aware. Takes charge and command of the outfield. Covers impressive ground. Great reads off the bat and routes to the ball. Tracks well to both sides; charges in well on under-hit balls; fetches well struck balls hit over his head effortlessly. Athleticism and plus speed help him mitigate rare mistakes. Not afraid to sacrifice his body for a diving catch. Grade: 60
Arm: Plus arm, occasional weapon in the field; plays at all three OF spots. Impressive throws with optimal carry; strong accurate strikes. Grade: 60
Run: Swift out of the box; reaches top speed quickly and glides around the bases. 4.11 to 4.15 clocks regularly; 4.09 on a jailbreak bunt. Aggressive, but smart and instinctual runner: will go first to third and swipe extra hustle bags. Speed will pad extra-base hits. Always hustles; doesn't take plays off. Impactful asset on the bases: consistent SB threat that often rattles pitchers. Impressive closing speeds in CF; speed helps him mitigate rare defensive mistakes. Grade: 60
Overall: Impact level, plus defensive and speed are the calling cards; development of the bat will ultimately influence his role. Potential second-division regular upside if the bat exceeds my modest projection. More likely outcome is a solid platoon player or defensive replacement type that burns up the basepaths.
