Physical Description: Short and sturdy. Possesses good strength. Athletic. Listed at 5'9". Looks more like a 2B but left-handedness prevents opportunity to play there. Filled out. High IQ player.
Hit: Left-handed. Average bat speed. Substantial arm movement pre-swing. Small leg kick used to gather/set swing. Does not always utilize lower half in the swing and relies mostly on muscling the ball. Swing plane geared for line-drive contact. Gets the ball in play and uses his speed to beat it out. Often puts the ball on the ground. Capable bunter. Good zone awareness and eye. Velocity can give him trouble. Tool plays up because of his speed. Grade: 45
Power: His swing plane and bat speed hinder his power projection. Has the strength to muscle the ball out on occasion. Good gap hitter. Needs to improve the use of his lower half if he wants to better drive the ball and exceed projection. Grade: 40
Field: Uses his speed to his advantage to cover ground. Plus range. Reads the ball well off the bat and gets an average break. Takes good routes. Good situational awareness. Arm hinders the full package. Tools translate to LF. Grade: 55
