Physical Description: Strong, well-built frame. Strength through chest. Well-developed upper body strength. Long, tapering legs with muscular thighs. Near full maturity, not much physical development left.
Hit: Open stance, hands high at the head. Upright body with feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart. Minimal hand load with sizeable leg kick timing mechanism. Lands open with front foot. Above-average bat speed with a slight uppercut bat path. Mostly pull-side approach, but can drive ball to all parts of the field. Stays through the ball well when thrown away. Above-average bat to ball skills. Patient hitter with mature approach, will make adjustments during PA. Good understanding of strike zone. Handles velocity and breaking balls well. Could limit amount of GBs. Has all the traits to be a plus hitter, if not more. Grade: 60
Power: Plus raw power, above-average game power. Ball carries off the bat, potential middle of the order bat. Ability to drive the ball to all fields. Adding more loft would help tap into power better. Strength and ability to hit ball hard should lead to at least above-average power with the possibility for more. Grade: 55
Field: Solid defender with sound defensive actions. Above-average instincts and outfield mechanics. Reads ball off bat well and takes quality routes, allows him to have average range even with below-average speed. Began playing some 1B in '19, had good feel for the position. Moved around the bag confidently. Showed ability to read hops well. Soft hands, caught the ball. Made the routine play, definitely playable. Grade: 50
Arm: Good thrower with proper throwing mechanics. Flashes an above-average arm at times, but mostly shows average arm strength and carry. No tail. On target most of the time. Can turn into an effort thrower at times. Playable in RF. Grade: 50
Run: Below-average runner with good instincts. Average out of the box, lacks acceleration. Long strides, but labors down the line at times. Has some overall body stiffness. Not a stolen base threat. Playable speed in OF. Grade: 40
Overall: Kirilloff's bat is his carrying tool and will always be his best one. He has an extremely mature approach with good strikezone awareness and the ability to make adjustments from pitch to pitch. He takes quality at-bats that lead to a lot of hard hit balls. Kirilloff has shown the ability to hit balls over the wall to all parts of the park. Eliminating some groundballs and hitting the ball with more loft would allow him to tap into his plus raw power even more, but he should hit for at least above-average power. In the outfield Kirilloff shows the ability to get good reads and take quality routes. Although he has below-average speed, he still displays average range. In '19, Kirilloff showed the ability to play 1B. He looked comfortable at the position and is playable there if needed. He has an accurate arm that shows good carry. It is playable in RF and is at least average. Overall, Kirilloff can provide value on both sides of the ball, but even more so with the bat. There has been some injury history that has hurt his development time, but he still currently slots into the above-average regular role.
