Physical Description: Muscular build. It looks like he's reached physical maturity.
Hit: Hands start by his head and are moving up until the load. Utilizes leg kick that stops just shy of the knee. Swings hard with very fast hands allow him to catch up to velocity. Covers the zone well. Swing is geared to get every drip of power out of his body, because he sells out for power there is a lot of swing and miss. Pull heavy, sees a lot of shifts to the left side. Good feel for the zone and patience leads to plenty of walks. Grade: 40
Power: Hard swing with loft. When he makes barrels up the ball it goes a long way. Raw power is easily plus, if not more. Very good at hunting for pitches to drive when up in the count, but will sell out for power on every swing. The power can play to all fields, but his approach and tendency is to pull the ball, so that's where it shows most. Grade: 55
Field: A reliable glove in the corners. Will make the plays he should. Can play up the middle in a pinch, but is better suited for the corners. Grade: 45
Arm: He will be limited to left with his arm, maybe centerfield. Exhibits fringe, at best, arm strength from the outfield. Grade: 40
Run: Speed plays well on the basepaths, his IQ helps him successfully steal. In the outfield it helps his range and would help him to patrol any of the three spots if his arm allows. Grade: 45
Overall: Hulsizer is a smart player, which certainly helps. When he's up in the count he does a very good job hunting for a pitch to drive. He sells out for power on every swing, so he misses a lot. There is a world where he is one of the most prolific power hitters in the game, but it's more likely he doesn't hit enough to reach that power ceiling. The power makes him very intriguing.
