Physical Description: Sturdy, thick build with long arms. Very strong build. Completely physically mature. Most of his strength resides in sturdy lower half.
Delivery & Mechanics: Very quick arm with good extension down the mound. Uncomfortable cross-body three-quarters delivery. Energy leakage exists in lower half. Relies on arm speed and arm talent to generate great velocity. Mechanics are definitive relief profile.
Fastball: Extremely heavy fastball, low-to-mid 90s. Big sinking action. Command can waver. Doesn't induce much swing and miss, but does get a healthy number of groundballs. Delivery doesn't present much deception. Grade: 50
Slider: Slider is his best pitch. Low 80s offering with more horizontal sweep and not as much depth. Plays well off the inverse action of his sinker. Not a big strikeout pitcher at the highest level, but should be his out-pitch. Grade: 55
Changeup: Changeup has been very fringy at every level. Really lacks consistency and command. Actually stepped away from throwing the pitch as much. Should probably stay away from the pitch as a competitive offering at big league level. Grade: 40
Control and Command: Command and control are what landed Kincanon in the bullpen. Fastball and slider are both fringy, while changeup and even a curveball from years past, simply don't find the zone enough to warrant worthwhile usage. Likely a fastball/slider guy in the bullpen at big league level. Control: 45 | Command: 40
Overall: Kincanon has some good arm talent and a herky-jerky delivery that can make for an uncomfortable at-bat, especially when deploying his slider against righties. He's likely a low-leverage reliever at the next level.
