Age: 20 yr
Height: 5-10
Weight: 150 lbs
Hits/Throws: S/R

RuleV: 2022
Physical Description: Short and physically small but well-built. Has some room to fill out. Twitchy athlete. Emotional player that can translate to over-aggressiveness at times.
Hit: Nearly mirror image swings from both sides. Low, wide stance. Non-existent leg kick as he steps into the ball from the left side; small leg kick from the right. Hands stay out front. Quick wrists that generate plus bat speed. Line-drive swing. Tends to make better contact from the left side and looks more natural there. Ball jumps off the bat when he makes good contact. Demonstrates a slight tendency to overswing and struggles with velocity up. Shows a good eye, particularly on pitches away. Goes the other way on occasion. Has the underlying ability to see growth in the grade as he physically matures and learns to find his pitch. Grade: 55
Power: Average raw power. Has a line-drive swing, but he generates natural loft off the bat from both sides. Flashes mostly gap power at the moment, but his bat speed and physical projection lend itself to future growth. Could learn to create more leverage to better drive pitches. Grade: 45
Field: Good actions in the field. Moves well to his left. Keeps the ball in front of him. Average or better range but may struggle with plays deeper in the hole at SS given his average arm. Tools may play better at 2B, but no obvious reason to move him off SS. Grade: 50
Arm: Quick transferer and average arm strength. Makes the routine throws from SS. Grade: 50
Run: Plus times down the line from both sides; timed at 4.15 from the right side and 4.08 from the left. Capable of hitting a second gear rounding 1B; 11.66 home to third from the left side. Takes big turns at 1B. May slow with added bulk. Possesses enough speed to be a threat on the bases. Grade: 60
Overall: Rocchio has become the quintessential Cleveland prospect in that he is small in stature but carries a better than average hit tool. He has the tools to stay at SS and possesses some untapped ability with the bat. He's yet to hit full season ball, but will go as far as his bat takes him.
