5:26pm: Benny Montgomery to the Phillies at 13 continues to be a popular rumor among industry personnel.
5:02pm: Kahlil Watson going 1.1 to the Pirates is in play.
4:24pm: The Blue Jays and Ryan Cusick have spent a lot of time getting to know each other this weekend.
4:22pm: Sounding more and more like it’ll be an outfielder for the Mets at 10.
3:53pm: There are teams in the American League working to buy Chase Petty down into the mid-2nd round as an over-slot.
3:41pm: There seems to be industry-consensus that if Jordan Lawlar falls out of the Top 3 picks, his future suitor may have to go over-slot.
3:17pm: It sounds like the White Sox are planning as though Colson Montgomery will not be available at pick 22. Maxwell Muncy is believed to be on top of their board.
2:41pm: There’s some smoke surrounding Will Bednar and the Angels
2:28pm: There’s at least one high school player on the Mariners Big Board for pick no. 12. It remains to be seen if that player(s) will make it there.
2:27pm: The Marlins are believed to covet Will Taylor at pick 16.
2:15pm: UPDATE: The Yankees are negotiating with a college arm at Pick 20 as well.
2:14pm: The Yankees purportedly have 3 college bats circled at pick 20 and are weighing different deals.
2:06pm: The Dodgers are expected to select a college pitcher with the 29th pick. A ton of buzz surrounding Wake Forest RHP Ryan Cusick.
1:59pm: Multiple scouting supervisors believe Will Taylor doesn’t make it out of the top ten, though it is believed there are a handful of teams trying to buy him down to their pick with over-slot offers.
1:51pm: The Orioles continue to get linked to college bats with the 5th pick, though if Jack Leiter were to slip, “He doesn’t get past 5. Under-slot be damned.”
1:48pm: Two teams in the Top 5 are still in negotiations with potential draftees. Still very fluid.
1:47pm: The Mets are still deciding between a number of players with the 10th pick and they’re not all position players.
