Physical Description: Physical, athletic build with long levers. Lots of room for growth in his lower and upper half. Should be able to put on healthy weight without hindering his overall frame.
Hit: Feet square with a high handset. Operates out of an upright stance with a slightly wide base. Stays on his back leg well and incorporates a small leg trigger to stay balanced and in time. Quiet hands that will fire a linear bat path through the zone. Bat speed stands out on film. Will get on his front foot on occasion and swing can get long on off-speed. Grade: 45
Power: Presents impressive mobility at the plate with a very rotational swing that shows present power to all fields. Will ambush fastballs early in the count. Incorporates his lower half well. Plus bat speed and barrel acceleration allow him to tap into massive power in BP, but currently hasn't translated the true raw power into games. Grade has a chance to tick up with added strength. Grade: 50
Field: Smooth actions in both directions. Will field the ball out front and shows soft hands on transfer. Shows plus range with easy movements and advanced flexibility. Grade: 50
Arm: Loose, low slot delivery that will get good carry across the diamond. Can make strong throws ranging in both directions and from multiple angles. Grade: 50
Run: 6.78 in the 60. Quick first step. Long strider who will cover ground quickly, and should be able to stretch routine singles into XBHs. Grade: 45
Overall: Gives you the look of a power hitting SS who should hit for a solid enough AVG while sticking at short long term. Likely a bench bat with a chance to pick up a few starts a week.
