Physical Description: Muscular build. Long torso. Looks heavier than listen weight, but it's all good weight. There is still some projection left on the frame.
Hit: Open stance. Hands about chest height with bathead straight up in the air and a small wiggle. Knee high leg kick on the load. Very quick hand and a compact swing. Despite that has shown swing and miss issues early in his career, especially with velocity. In limited opportunities, he has shown a decent ability to draw walks and spray the ball around the yard. He's got the makings for this tool to come around, but that's easier said than done. Grade: 30
Power: A lot of his big power will be pull side. His quick wrists are where he generates most of his power. That's not to say he can drive the ball the opposite way with some authority, the big power in game is just on the pull side. With his kind of quick twitch abilities, the power is going to be natural as he hit tool comes around. Grade: 50
Field: Has the speed and reactions to stick up the middle if his arm allows. Grade: 55
Arm: Quick motion that should allow him just enough to stick in center. Grade: 45
Run: Considered by some to be a plus-plus type runner out of high school. His speed helps a lot defensively and could lead to more help on the bases as he matures. Grade: 60
Overall: A quick twitch athlete with a ton of upside, Garry Jr. also has lots of variance. He gets good marks for his ability to work hard and focus on what he needs to improve, which is always a positive. It's a centerfield profile with some pop at the plate if his hit tool can come around. If he starts to hit well, this is the kind of profile that will create a lot of buzz as it comes together.
