Physical Description: Tall lanky build, skinny and seems to lack muscle mass, despite this he is incredibly strong. Doesn't look like he keeps up a high level of physical conditioning. For this reason there's probably some positive projection remaining in the frame should he find a way to improve physicality. Below average athlete who's game and prospect status are predicated on his massive raw power.

Hit: Sets up open with front foot offset, utilizes toned down leg lick trigger, heavily rotational upper body. Vicious bat speed, and hellacious raw power at the point of contact. His upper and lower half work against each other at times, but some of that might be the explosive and violent nature of Rincon's swing. Few players swing harder than Rincon, seeming to get every last ounce of force behind it. This leads to a long bat path and a poor bat to ball skills. Rincon had a sub-67% contact rate with an 18% swinging strike rate in AA during the 2019 season. It's a poor contact profile with an approach that borders on passive at times. Grade: 30

Power: Near double plus raw power, Rincon sends the ball a long way when he makes contact, connecting for majestic shots and screaming liners. Lots of pullside juice, shows the ability to drive the ball to all fields but his approach is predicated on the ability to turn on fastballs on the inner-half. Rincon's batting practice is notable as he's able to pump deep flies to all parts of the park. It's an obvious plus tool but one he doesn't play to its potential due to his lack of consistent contact. Grade: 60

Field: Likely left field only long term, has the ability to handle either corner in a pinch, but he's a below average runner without a high level of athleticism and below average reads off of the bat. Does not add value in the field, but is not an absolute butcher either. Grade: 40

Arm: Average arm that works in left field. Threw out a few runners at third base in my looks. Good online carry. Probably a passable arm in right field or center. He doesn't have the defensive chops or makeup speed to play in right or center consistently so his arm is a perfect fit for his position. Grade: 50

Run: Below average runner, that's a tick better than station to station but not a base stealing asset. As previously mentioned lacks the average speed needed to play right field. Not a strong base runner but not a base clogger either. He's prone to base running lapses however. Grade: 40

Overall: An all power corner outfield profile that looked like a three outcome platoon type coming into 2019. He struggled to replicate his on base skills during his time with Double-A Tulsa. He doesn't add value in the field or on the bases, so it's paramount that Rincon improve his hit tool to a below average level. His power is such that an improvement in bat to ball skills and approach could push him to a role 40 profile. For now he's a lower end 35 OFP with an extremely risky profile for an older prospect.
