Do you have what it takes to identify the best talent over the next five years and win a dynasty league without trading or in-season pickups?
We’ve come up with a new type of league that we’re excited to launch for the 2020 Season:
Best Ball Dynasty.
These are low touch point 30-team leagues with a fixed five-year time frame. We’ve eliminated trading & in-season transactions and put all the focus on the initial draft and yearly off-season free agent drafts.
What does that mean? No uneven trades that ruin leagues. No churning and burning in daily leagues, or teams consistently getting the pickups needed because others neglect the waiver wire. We’ve also decided to collect all five years payment up front, essentially eliminating owner turnover.
So how exactly does this work? Let’s quickly run it down.
Using the Fantrax platform, you’ll participate in a slow draft and select 50 players from an open player universe. Once the season starts, each week your team will automatically generate a point total from the top 10 scoring hitters and top 9 scoring pitchers. After the season is over, the highest cumulative point total wins the league that year. It’s really that simple.
What else is required? During future off-seasons you’ll participate in a 10-round free agent draft. After that is completed, you’ll cut your roster back down to 50 players.
There will be money awarded to both the winner and runner up in each league in each season, as well as the winner and runner up for the cumulative point total over the 5 year period. We anticipate multiple leagues, so we’ll have a cross-league tournament winner at the end of the 5 year period as well!
For more details, check out the constitution at the link below and make sure you read through it before signing up.
We’re launching both $50 ($10 yearly) and $250 leagues ($50 yearly) and you can sign up at the link below. We will email you a link to sign up for a brand new Prospects Live Discord channel that will host tournament wide announcements and general chat. We’re targeting leagues to begin drafting in mid-January.
