The data is finally updated in the app on games played through 7/21. Jordan posted spreadsheets last week but the change column will be based on a two-week difference.

Hitters

Ryan Clifford

Ryan Clifford (NYM, AA) continues to rise up the PLIVE+ ranks and now stands as the 17th overall hitter. The 20 yr old's performance has been really disjointed over the last couple of years. After raking at A-ball and high-A for HOU he was traded and had a lackluster 32 game high-A sample with the Mets. He returned to high-A to begin the year and only hit 1 HR in 136 PA sample while still running a 121 wRC+ before being promoted to AA. Since his promotion he's been on fire hitting 13 HR in 212 PA with a 155 wRC+. The Big Red Dog (yeah I'm starting it if it's not already a thing), really profiles as a 3-true-outcome bat and PLIVE+ projects him for a 12.8% BB, 27.8% K and 26 HR per 600 PA. Filtering peak projections on 10%+ BB, 25%+ K, 25+ HR and 100+ wRC+ brings back just six players: James Wood, Emmanuel Rodriguez, Xavier Isaac, Ryan Clifford, Thayron Liranzo and Niko Kavadas. Clifford ranked 93rd overall in our last prospect update.

Lazaro Montes

Lazaro Montes (SEA, A+) has taken a step back and has dropped to the 7th best hitter after occupying the top spot at his peak. His first 79 PA in high-A have not been great. He's slashing .197/.278/.268 with just 1 HR. Most notably he's running a 32.9% K and 16.5% SwStr. I don't think you should overreact to a 17 game sample, but his trade stock has certainly gone down in this window.

Leodalis De Vries

Leodalis De Vries (SD, A) is one of the hottest hitters on the planet and famously just 17 years old at A-ball. Before July he put up a 78 wRC+ over 188 PA. In the month of July he's put up a 173 wRC+ over 69 PA with 6 HR and 5 SB. PLIVE+ now has him as the 5th best A-ball hitter sandwiched between Echedry Vargas and Jose Briceno and Max Clark.

Franklin Arias

Franklin Arias (BOS, CPX) moved into top spot on the Complexes after just going insane over the last 12 games. A .538/.625/.897 slash over the last 12 games is all you need to know. That being said he's only hit 6 HR in 206 PA and his 30 SB are inflated by the league. He's been highlighted in plenty other spots over Prospects Live and if you're interested in more check out Dynasty Baseball Pickups article from Kyle a couple days ago.

Engleth Urena

Engleth Urena (NYY, CPX) first popped up for us on the Daily Sheet on 7/9 from Alex Jensen and he came away impressed. PLIVE+ has also come away impressed and Urena has increased the most of any player since the last update and is the 6th highest CPX bat. He's checked every box on the stat line as he's got 8 HR in 158 PA, more walks than strikeouts (14.6% :: 12.0%) and has even chipped in 5 SB. Two strikes against him though as he's old for level about to turn 20 and he's maybe a guy that sticks at catcher. A deep league add but certainly a guy to monitor.

Pitchers

Hayden Birdsong

Hayden Birdsong (SF, MLB) is a player I've written too much about on the daily sheet already but he was among the top movers over the last two weeks by PLIVE+ and is now the 13th ranked pitcher overall. Mixing in other MLB pitchers, the PLIVE+ rating is similar to Luis Gil, Yariel Rodriguez and Gavin Williams.

Joey Cantillo

Joey Cantillo (CLE, AAA) got a late start this year due to an injured hamstring and he's finally ramped back up to 5 IP outings over his last two starts racking up 12 K to only 1 BB with no HR allowed in the 10 IP. The walks are particularly encouraging as they have been an issue throughout his career. Cantillo has felt like he's been on the verge of makin the big leagues for 3 years now and it's likely get an opportunity at some point this year.

Hunter Barco

Hunter Barco (PIT, AA) got promoted to AA and threw 3 IP, 1 H and 5 K scoreless. He doesn't rank incredibly well by PLIVE+ as the 85th best starter, but if he continues to prove that he can be good at AA he'll continue to move up the ranks. While a 21.7% K-BB at high-A was decent, he was doing it as a 23 year old. In order to really get PLIVE+'s juices going as an old for level pitcher you've got to run a 30%+ K-BB like K.C. Hunt. Similar to the Brewers, it seems as if the Pirates have created a pitcher factory, so Barco should certainly be on radars in 400+ prospect leagues. Especially given he has increased velo this year.

Edgardo Henriquez

Edgardo Henriquez (LAD, AA) was brought up by a subscriber a while back about a potential back-end Top 500 guy. The 22 yr old who sits high-90s reportedly touching 101 with good breaking stuff has jumped from A-ball to high-A to AA with about ~10 IP at each stop. He worked in 2 IP stints to start the year but has only gone 1 IP as a reliever in his AA appearances. This is his first year back from TJ and it just seems like he's getting fast tracked as a reliever. Given the current status he's a tough arm to roster despite the loud stuff. We'll monitor if he does begin to get stretched back out again.

Yordy Herrera

Yordy Herrera (STL, A) has vaulted the most among higher rated pitchers, however I think he's tricked the system a bit here as he's not actually in A-ball now, but was for a couple games back in May and then went back to CPX. He also barely meets the SP threshold and has averaged 1.8 IP per game in his career. However, he's gone longer in the last 3 games and in his best start on 7/2 he went 4.1 IP with just 1 H and 9 K. PLIVE+ is drawn to him because on the year he's running an absurd 42.8% K rate. Looks like the lefty sat about 94 mph on the sinker (video) during his short A-ball callup. Certainly a guy we need to keep an eye on unless you're in the deepest of leagues (currently 0% owned).
