MLB - Ryan

Junior Caminero, SS TB (MLB) 2-for-4, 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 RBI

It was 64 plate appearances in between homeruns for Caminero, nice to see him get one off Nick Pivetta on a high and inside fastball. He should be up for good now, but you can never be sure with the Rays.

Luisangel Acuna, SS NYM (MLB) 3-for-4, 1 2B, 1 HR, 2 RBI

First dong for Acuna and first extra base hit in the same game. I think he settles in as a complimentary piece fantasy-wise that will give you about 30-ish steals.

Wyatt Langford, OF TEX (MLB) 3-for-6, 2 2B, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 2 BB

Much was expected out of Langford this year and he hasn’t lived up to those lofty projections, still he’s put together an average season with a 105 wRC+ in his age-22 season. He’ll be fine, not all rookies hit the ground running.  Over the last month he’s hit .302 with a .542 SLG.

Jordan Walker, OF STL (MLB) 1-for-3, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 K

The good news for Walker is he hit his fourth homerun in the last 30 days, the bad news is during that stretch he’s striking out 32% of the time. You hate to call it quits on a player as young as Walker but he’s increasingly becoming someone I don’t want to worry about in fantasy and let another manager have the headache.

Jasson Dominguez, OF NYY (MLB) 1-for-5, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB

First homerun of the season in the pinstripes for Dominguez. He’s largely been ineffective in his eight games this year so it’s nice to see him connect with one here. He can get hot at any moment as we saw last year.

Angel Martinez, OF CLE (MLB) 2-for-4

He’s a nice complimentary piece for the Guardians who is infinitely more valuable in real life than fantasy. He doesn’t hit many homers and hardly steals.

Kyle Manzardo, 1B CLE (MLB) 1-for-3, 1 BB

Since being called back up at the start of September, the Manzalorian has been more of what we expected than his previous stint. Hitting .289 with three bombs he might finally be settling into an everyday role with the Guardians. I think he’s a better first baseman than Naylor, but he’s been DHing for the most part.

Jordan Beck, OF COL (MLB) 2-for-4, 1 2B, 2 K, 1 SB

I haven’t been in on Beck at all as a prospect or Major Leaguer. There’s just too much swing-and-miss in the profile. Too be fair, I was out on Brenton Doyle this year as well and he proved me wrong. Beck doesn’t play gold glove caliber center field and may not have as long a leash as Doyle.

Nick Yorke, 2B PIT (MLB) 3-for-4

First hit for Yorke as a Major Leaguer and his first multi-hit game. I think he’ll be a solid regular for the Pirates going forward and someone that can be a nice MI option for fantasy going forward.

Coby Mayo, 3B BAL (MLB) 0-for-2, 2 K

It’s been T-O-U-G-H sledding for Mayo in Baltimore. It’s hard to let rookies figure it out when you’re in a pennant chase. He’ll be fine eventually and I’m still really high on him.

Dylan Crews, OF WSH (MLB) 3-for-4, 1 2B

I don’t think Crews will be a superstar in the league, but like many others have said, he’ll be a solid player in real life and in fantasy. I imagine a Bryan Reynolds (who I love rostering in fantasy) type with more speed.

Shane Baz, RHP TB (MLB) 7 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 1 HR, 1 BB, 6 K

He’s done a nice job his last five starts limiting the runs, but the strikeouts are lacking with an 11.5% strikeout-minus-walk ratio. I’m not sure what to do fantasy wise with him, he could be a good buy-low candidate with hopes of this season just being a shaking off of the cobwebs or this is just who he is now.

Zebby Matthews, RHP MIN (MLB) 4.2 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 1 HR, 1 BB, 5 K

Six out of the seven games Matthews has started this year he’s let up at least one homerun, with multiple games giving up multiple dongs. Maybe throwing outside the zone once in awhile would be beneficial for the young Twin.

Triple-A - Matt

Jonatan Clase, OF TOR (Triple-A) 4-for-6, 2B, R, RBI, K

Feels like Clase should get a nice run with the Blue Jays soon to end his season in the big leagues. Toronto needs to figure out if he’s a big part of their future or not and between him and guys like Loperfido, Martinez, Horowitz, etc. there’s a good collection of young big league talent worth looking into this winter for fantasy.

Orelvis Martinez, 3B TOR (Triple-A) 1-for-2, HR, 2 RBI, 3 BB, K

We’ve seen players like Noelvi Marte comeback and struggle after PED suspensions but Martinez has looked fine, albeit in Triple-A. Looks like the Blue Jays are a little frustrated with him though as they’ve come out and said that he won’t see the big leagues again this season. Interesting to see what, if anything, happens here this off-season.

Ben Rice, 1B NYY (Triple-A) 2-for-3, HR, 2 RBI, 2 BB

He can hit and get on-base and that shirt right field porch will do wonders for his power numbers. He’s probably not much more than a true talent 15-18 homer guy but that park and some luck gets him over 20. I like Rice late in draft and hold formats.

Connor Phillips, RHP CIN (Triple-A) 6 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 9 K

Phillips has had a rough season and this outing still leaves him with an ERA up over 8.00 on the year. He probably fits best in the bullpen somewhere.

Nick Pratto, 1B KC (Triple-A) 2-for-5, HR, 3 K

I still like Pratto but probably shouldn’t since the Royals didn’t give him a shot really to replace Pasquantino. He’s a drop.

Colson Montgomery, SS CWS (Triple-A) 2-for-3, 2B, R, RBI, 2 BB

I feel like I’ve talked about Montgomery a ton, but if he’s healed up I would like him to get a few weeks of big league at-bats in preparation for the 2025 season where he should be the White Sox primary shortstop.

Roman Anthony, OF BOS (Triple-A) 3-for-5, 2 R, 2 RBI, BB, 2 K

Pshhh. No extra base hits? What’s wrong with Roman? We’ve been spoiled by his production as of late.

Ozzie Albies, 2B ATL (Triple-A) 2-for-3, HR, 3 RBI, BB

Getting Ozzie back for the playoff push is massive for the Braves.

Hurston Waldrep, RHP ATL (Triple-A) 6 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 7 K

The former Florida Gator has strung together a bunch of nice starts in a row. He’s always been able to miss bats but keeping the walks in check has been big for him.

Davis Daniel, RHP LAA (Triple-A) 6 IP, 5 H, ER, 2 BB, 7 K

Daniel is quality rotation depth for a team that has a bunch of starters that are all vying for 2025 innings in the big leagues. Nobody has taken that final step forward, looking at you Detmers and Canning, and there will be multiple jobs up for grabs here in the spring.

Ryan Bliss, 2B SEA (Triple-A) 4-for-6, 2 2B, 2 R, RBI, K

Tyler Locklear, 1B SEA (Triple-A) 3-for-5, 4 R, RBI, BB

Jake Slaughter, 3B SEA (Triple-A) 4-for-6, HR, 2 R, 5 RBI, K

Y’all know about Bliss and Locklear but Slaughter has been an interesting pick up for the Mariners organization. The LSU product was picked by the Cubs in the 18th round out of LSU, a Dan Kantrovitz special. A college performer who lacks a true defensive position. He takes though and is deserving of an opportunity soon. I’ll be all over in those 50-round draft and holds.

Double-A - Tom Gates

Austin Bergner, RHP DET (Double-A) 6 IP, 2 BB, 9 K

Great playoff outing from the 27-year old.

Spencer Jones, CF NYY (Double-A) 3-for-5, HR, R, RBI, SB

Let’s get the hype rolling on Jones again! Build up that value.

Juan Guerrero, RF COL (Double-A) 1-for-3, HR, 2 R, RBI, BB, K

Keep an eye on Guerrero, he had a solid season. In-zone contact was at 85% and strikeout rate was only at 12%. Not a ton of power. Good speed.

Antonio Santos, RHP CHC (Double-A) 4.2 IP, 5 H, BB, 10 K

He’s been kicking around in the minors for a while. 10.29 K/9 in his 70 innings in Double-A.

Winston Santos, RHP TEX (Double-A) 6 IP, 4 H, 2 BB, 12 K

Fastball, slider, change up guy with the potential for plus command. He’s dialed it up this year. Over 100 innings and over an 11 K/9 while having a sub 3 BB/9. A guy that really should be on your radar. 94 PLive- score but I would assume that adjusts with more outings like this.

Chase Davis, LF STL (Double-A) 2-for-4, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI, K

He wasn’t the easiest hold or buy during the times everyone was dumping cold water on his performance with a wood bat, which we can’t ignore but this is why we don’t write a top prospect off. It would have been different if he was showing strikeout rates like Elijah Green. 87% in-zone contact at Double-A, in a very small sample. Just avoid the curse of being an OF in STL.

Tanner Murray, 2B TB (Double-A) 2-for-4, 2 HR, 3 R, 2 RBI, BB

Double dongs don’t go away because the regular season is over.

Ernesto Martinez, Jr., 1B MLW (Double-A) 1-for-3, HR, R, RBI

Here’s a guy I’ll be snagging in my deep leagues at the end of my bench in hopes he gets the call next year and turns into something. I wouldn’t say he’s got a high ceiling but he could be someone that contributes in every category at first base.

High-A - Grant Carver

Angel Genao, SS CLE (High-A) 3-for-5, 2 2B, 2 RBI

Just a great season for Genao and his stock. The hit tool looks legit and there’s more power than the frame suggests. I want to see how that holds up at the higher levels, but it’s hard not to be in right now.

Colton Ledbetter, RF TBR (High-A) 2-for-4, 2 1B, K, SB

Stolen base number 34 on the year for Ledbetter. I’ve talked about the hit tool concerns a lot, but the speed is another valuable trait here for sure. If the hit can get to a playable level, he would have a really enticing profile.

Single-A - Rhys

Josue Briceño, 1B DET (Single-A) 1-for5, 3B, R, RBI

Even if it's just making contact, it's nice to see Briceño back to hitting after the injury that kept him out for a while. The Tigers' young prospect core is as exciting as any team's. Max Clark, Kevin McGonigle, Thayron Liranzo, and Josue Briceño make up a fun group to dream on. At this point, Briceño will likely move to first base full time, where his plus power could carry his profile—though we have to worry about how much Comerica Park might sap that power.

Franyerber Montilla, SS DET (Single-A) 2-for-3, 3B, R

After getting promoted to Single-A, Franyerber has had a bit of a rough time, which might take him off my radar this offseason. I can only mix so much of my fantasy team with my real-life team, I guess. Franyerber Montilla could be a nice early-season pick-up next year if he starts hitting well.
